is there a light to help line up the cut?

There is no light anywhere on it. But works great. Use it all the time. It has a line under the cutter that you use to make sure it is a straight cut.

Do you cut faux leather?

We cut only paper products and laminate

Will this cutter take 12 x12 sheets of paper? The standard scrapbook size paper. Thank you!

Hope this helps you. It's a great cutter. I use it for making machine embroidery greeting cards and it cuts 140pound watercolor paper perfectly

Will this cut foil sheets?

Not sure I have never cut foil sheets. It is a good cutter though.
