How bright in a 2 D cell? Sure it works with 2 cell?

It should work, since it requires 5 watts of power. Will it be as bright as a 6 cell probably not as there is no visible circuit to control power in. Mine is in a 3 cell battery and I am happy with the output. It isn't as bright as my lithium celled flashlights but it gave new life to an old D cell light.

I think it will. I used it with a 20 +/- year old 4 D-Cell Maglite. A very big improvement. New life for an old, but classic high quality flashlight. Not as bright as the latest Maglite models But again a very big upgrade. Highly recommended.

Can i convert a maglite with a incandescent bulb with two prongs with a led bulb?

Yes - That’s exactly what I did. I have a 20 + year old 4 D Cell Maglite. I converted it to LED with thr LITT kit and am very happy with the results.
