Q: Has anyone used this antenna on a Defender security wireless camera?

Yes. I used two., one at the camera and one at the security unit.

Q: does this work on amped wireless n smart repeater?

It works well with my Verizon wireless N Actiontec router

Q: What do you screw it on in the back of computer?

You absolutely can screw it onto a computer. You screw it onto a female SMA connector (port/jack) for a wireless adapter or an access point. If your wireless adapter has or is designed to have an external antenna (I bought a USB adapter because my laptop has a wifi adapter that's not intended for an external antenna), it will have some kind of jack (in a desktop computer, the internal wireless card might be a PCI card with a rear plate on the back of the computer, or it might be m.2 or something and have cables connecting it to a rear plate on the back of the computer). If you have a a wifi adapter or access point with a jack for an antenna, you have to know if it's RP-SMA or "normal" SMA, or not SMA at all, etc.

Q: Does this Antenna attach to a Verizon MI424WR-GEN2 router?

I unscrewed the little antenna on my Verizon Westell A90 model and attached this longer one, but I am not sure about your model. Works fine with mine and it is an old one.
