beautiful grill. Very sturdy and well made
beautiful grill. Very sturdy and well made. Went together well with one exception of 1 bolt hole that was slightly off and I had to file. Heats quickly. Only used it twice but so far I like it. I want to note that the box was damaged upon arrival and the two cabinet doors were damaged. I called Saber to ask what to do while the driver was still here. They asked for all the components that were damaged (It was just the doors). And quickly sent replacements, Thank you Saber. Impresses me as a grill that will last a long time.

The quality of the parts used to build this grill are poor
I purchased a saber grill 5.5 years ago for $1100 dollars. After grilling with it, I will say that the cooking qualtiy is excellent, I love the meat that is cooked on this grill. However, at the time I was looking for a grill, I was told that the saber grill was made of the highest quality stainless steel and would never rust, and that the quality of the build was unparalleled. Within the first year, the temperature gauges stopped working, the company replaced them for free. Within the a few months the gauges stopped working again. Then 2 years after I purchased the grill, the fire box, the heat shields, the burner tubes, the connections, the wheels all rusted out. Again, Saber sent me the replacement parts for free, and I had to rebuild the entire grill. About the only part I didn’t replace were the front doors. 2.5 years after I rebuilt the grill all those parts rusted again. This time the wanted me to pay $400 to replace those parts. If you want to pay $1100 or more for a grill that rusts out every 2.5 years, then this grill is for you. If not, you need to look elsewhere.

No service in my area 27713
My Saber is 3 years old and sensors for temperature need to be replaced. I was calling Saber to get information they don’t have service. They suggest dealer in area, only one here in area.Inside grill is not stainless steel. Only Elite is stainless steel but cost 3 thousand. Before you buy ask did they have service in your area. I will not buy again.

Very happy with purchase
Very happy with purchase. Yes you really can cook bacon very easy on this grill. The all stainless looks very expensive and is very heavy. It arrived on a pallet. Took me about 30 mins to put together with my tools. So far so good after a few weeks.

I like this grill a lot, but abundance of similar options at 1/3 the cost
Let me start by saying that this is a very nice grill. This is top of the line and the performance and quality are top of the line. Now having said this, I think the real problem is the other alternatives that exist in the market for similar grills. There are 2 or 3 that are close enough to warrant serious consideration and that have some elements that I actually like a bit more.1. Kenmore All Stainless Steel grill model number: 720-0830A (retail for 499, on sale curently for 350)2. Home Depot NexGrill Model 720-0830H (retail for 269)3. Char-Broil Commercial Series 3 Burner Gas Grill, model 463242516 (retail 399)All of these grills are full stainless steel (char broil not fully) and while they may not be the same high quality stainless steel as the Saber, they are all going to give marginally similar performances. I actually own the kenmore as well and I actually prefer the stainless "grate" type of grilling surface to the style of "infrared" that the Saber has. This is a qualitative issue and one that actually matters in cooking according to your taste. On the grilling surface, the Saber employs a grill surface very similar to CharBroil's infrared cooking surface. it cooks very similarly and I cannot distinguish the difference between the two technologies. On the positive side, ti does cook food very evenly and can have a good effect on "juiciness". However, I also owned a CharBroiler Infrared grill and ended up giving it away because I like the slightly uneven cooking of traditional grills. I think they add that grilled effect to my tri-tip, brats, chicken, etc.Again this is a personal preference and I find that the traditional grill is harder to use and to have good results. So if you are not that experienced or want a "simpler" grilling process, the Saber or Char-broil will be better suited than a traditional surface. I also have to think that if I wanted even cooking, I might just use the oven .... that is my take only. I am sure folks will differ ...All in all, a really, very nice grill with all stainless design, an infrared cooking surface that is similar to charbroil's type of grill. It is very well made (even from current made in China standards). It comes about 85% assembled off the truck and requires just a little more to get it going (watch out for sharp edges!!!!).As I see it, the only downside to this grill is the abundance of marginally similar options at 1/3 the cost. I like this grill a lot, I am just not sure the minor quality improvements warrant the significant difference in price.
