I bought these bells as a practice set at home. The bells fold away and are easily carried in the case to other rehearsals or for a back up set for a concert. The tuning is a little off in the upper register. The pins holding the metal bars stick out and can make playing challenging, but i found that this forced me to become more accurate and thus a better player.

This has a beautiful high pitch sound.

Before I ordered this xylophone, I noticed that there were 2 dated diifferent weights in the description. I inquired and received what seemed to be an AI generated response, indicating the lighter of the 2 weights listed. I ordered it, and found that it was the heavier weight after all. Not what I wanted.The instrument itself is lovely, and the sound is clear, but again, too heavy for our use. truth in advertising?????

For this for my 9 year old son's band class. Works great! He can carry it fine.

My son was very excited to use it. He has been using it daily since we got it. Good size and comes with a carrying bag to put it away. Great sound quality.
