When is the expiration date ? And is it ready to use to make sambel terasi or we have to roast it first?

I didn't get a chance to check the expiration date, I threw the package, usually the last for a year or even longer and I storage them in the fridge. it is ready to use just mix them with the chilly ( cabe rawit ), plum tomatoes, shallot, and olive oil.
