Are the bowls coated in a tree nut oil?

Hello , They are coated with food grade wood coating from ICA Regards Lavaux Designs

It says it can handle heat, but it also says not microwave safe...confused?

Hand wash hot water , dish washing detergent, dry with towel and let set : it’s quick easy and does no harm. Exposing them to the extended heat of dishwasher will damage the wood .I use them a few times a week, have had them for months and the wood is as good as new .
