I bought these not for wellington boots, but for a pair of 10'' high hunting boots. For that I give them 5 stars.These are designed to sit above the widest point of the calf, below the knee. They are too tight to sit at the thickest point of the calf. This is what keeps them up high.My calves are 16.5" at their widest and I'm 6'2" for reference.Reasonably thick, they are great for winter boots as long as your boots aren't a snug fit.I always buy boots 1 size bigger so I can wear thick socks like these and upgrade to a thicker insole. If your boots fit snug with lightweight socks, these may make things tight down there.All the colours sent match the pictures, except the dark red/burgundy pair. In real life it is more like burnt orange.

Husband uses them for walking in his boots with the dogs. Reports they are comfy, warm, cosy and nice length. Washing is easy and come up well.

Good length and appear to be good quality. Only issue is the tops are a bit tight - hopefully they will loosen with wear.

I am 6 foot, these socks come over my calf and stop just under my knee cap and stay there all day even under fleece lined walking trousers. They leave a slight indentation after a full days wear 12+ hours, with no slipping. Purchased for cold weather as insulating walking socks., they do an excellent job, with the inner loops keeping me warm in the recent 50/60 mph winds here at the coast. I always wear a very thin pair of short socks under my walking socks, this decreases wear on the outer socks, particularly thicker insulating socks, as they are usually more delicate. These socks are comfortable and warm. So far after a few washes @30 degrees in a wash bag they feel and look no different to the pair I haven’t worn yet. I was surprised at the quality for the price. So far they are exceeding expectation. Recommended.

Warm, long and tough. They lose their initial tightness. Good Value for money.

These look nice and are decent quality fabric. However even though I have skinny legs they are far too tight above the calf and I've had to cut the tops of to make them wearable.

I got these as I am out all year round and need these to wear outside every day. Very warm and comfy, and reasonably priced.
