Good quality felt pads
I got some Waxman Soft Touch self-stick felt pads, which appear to be the brand which has traditionally been sold at hardware stores. And I also got the bag of 300 Smart Surface self-stick felt pads, this is the bargain alternative. I compared the two, choosing a form that was available in both -- oatmeal-color 3/4 inch diameter.I inspected both of them carefully, and I tested them in various ways, because I wanted to use them on chair feet, which is a very unforgiving application.Inspection of the pads quickly reveals that the Waxman felt pads have a foam layer between the felt and the adhesive, which is not present in the less expensive Smart Surface pads. From an engineering viewpoint, this foam layer is clearly designed to prevent stress concentrations at the interface of the adhesive to the furniture leg. Excuse me if I'm getting a little too technical for you here, but this is really an excellent engineering design, to include this foam layer. Other differences are that the Smart Surface pads are thicker, and seem a little softer and smoother.I tested both the Waxman and the Smart Surface pads in a very difficult context, even more unforgiving than using them on chair feet. I put the pads both on the outer cylindrical surface of a coffee mug, and on the flat bottom of the coffee mug. Indeed, in both cases, the Smart Surface pads were not very difficult to remove, while the Waxman pads were very difficult to remove. This doesn't mean that the Smart Surface pads are not a good product. But it does explain why they are able to sell a bag of 300 pieces for a low price -- it's because their manufacturing cost is lower, because they omit the foam layer. I'll probably use the Smart Surface pads for many applications, but because using felt pads on chair feet is so unforgiving, I'll use only the Waxman pads on the chair feet.I will add here a few other comments about using felt pads ...Some people have complained about felt pads, that the pads don't stay stuck. Especially when this is reported very soon after application, it's likely that they failed to clean the surface well prior to applying the pads. I use paint thinner for such cleaning, but if you do that, you must be aware that paint thinner is flammable, the rags you have used will be flammable, and even if you wipe it off carefully there will be an odor for about a day as the residue evaporates. One reviewer commented that he uses a forstner bit, which is a drill bit designed to make a flat bottom hole, to make a small indentation in the furniture feet, so that the pad is held better in position, it's not just depending on the adhesive to prevent sliding sideways. This is surely an effective approach, but I don't expect most people will want to bother.A problem which I have experienced with some chair feet, is that the flat tips of the chair legs do not sit flat on the floor. Felt pads in this circumstance will be squashed on one edge, and the adhesive will be much more likely to fail. Trimming the chair feet, slicing so that the leg ends set flat on the floor, before applying the felt pads, will surely greatly improve the performance of the felt pads. But again, most people will likely not want to bother doing this.In summary, the Smart Surface pads are a good product, and very economical. But for particularly demanding applications, the Waxman Soft Touch pads would be a better choice.

Nice pads, but they need more stickum.
The package certainly has a nice variety of sizes. The only drawback I found is the pads' adhesion to wood. I will try adding something I already have on hand, like super glue or wood glue or perhaps chewing gum. Or perhaps not.

Heavy duty padding, but not so heavy duty adhesive
Would recommend. We moved from a carpeted home to a home with full hardwood floors, so this was an incredible deal for the variety of sizes and larger quantity for the amount of furniture we needed to protect. It's been a few months and they are still going strong on the heavier furniture and pieces that I don't move often. I would call the material Heavy Duty, but not the adhesive. They didn't hold up on the bottom of a few chairs that have more spindly legs and are moved on a daily basis. I would recommend following the suggestions for adhesion by removing furniture tacks and/or sand to a clean surface prior to sticking so they work better. With the amount that come in the bag, I was able to replace the ones that came off and still have extra left over, and the less than great adhesive is similar to more expensive brands I've purchased. A small tip: I paired these with cut up sections of rug grip underneath furniture we wanted padding for but also didn't want to move from sitting. This method worked great for my couch.

Great Value! Apply Liberally!
I think these stick as well as others I have gotten from big box hardware stores. The big difference is that instead of getting 24 or 30 for $5, you are getting 300 (including the bumpers) for less than $10. And that makes a big difference to me when I go to apply these to furniture. No longer do I have to do a cost benefit analysis on each felt pad I apply--instead, I can put six or ten or sixteen on without even batting an eye, since these are so inexpensive per piece. I can apply liberally on the bottom to protect my floors, and slap some on the back and sides to protect my walls and floorboards as well. And if one ever comes off on the bottom, usually not a big deal since there are two or three next to it.And if you are moving the furniture a lot, and you have problems with them falling off, just try a dab of some super glue. That is stronger than the adhesive you will find on any felt pads anyways.

Thicker than normal pads, but good variety and sturdy
These heavy duty pads are thicker than the other felt pads I've come across, which definitely adds to how sturdy these are. We had some issues with the felt pads we originally bought, as they kept falling off our dining room chairs and couldn't hold up against all the movement. These heavy duty felt pads did the trick. We did also glue these pads on to the bottoms of our dining room chair legs to make sure they wouldn't fall off, so I can't fully comment on how well they work for furniture that is frequently moved when not glued. I like that there are so many different sizes to choose from and that the bag is conveniently resealable. This pack was definitely more worth the money compared to the other pack I bought--I wish I found these sooner!

Value for money
Large bag and sticks well, only because I seldom drag my furniture. I sticked them to my kids highchairs and they are still there so I can conclude that it is lasting. Only one came out as my mover dragged one leg of the chair on an outdoor pathway. My extremely heavy reclining sofa came without me realizing that there is not in house delivery. The delivery man left the 250 pounds recliner at my entry hallway. I desperately came out with this idea to stick these felts on the base of the sofa, flip the sofa to stand upright and drag them into my living room (sliding on hardwood floor). Kind of saved me from breaking my back to carry the sofa in. Only drawback is I wish it include square shapes. and smaller rectangular shapes.
