Why did you pick this product vs others?:When it comes to Pickleball paddles, it is so hard to choose. There are way too many options. My son let me borrow his paddle and I absolutely loved it so I bought one for myself. It is great for me and I hope that you find it a wonderful paddle as well.

I used an older model of the Gearbox that was 11mm and got used to the thin profile and “hard” feel. I wanted more feel and tried some of the more popular 16mm paddles like Joola. They are felt too thick. The CX 14E is a perfect compromise. It gives that classic Gearbox feel in a thin-ish profile, but adds great touch. Sweet spot is large as well. Highly recommend for Gearbox fans. But if you use another type like Joola or Gamma, etc, try the demo program on Gesrbox website. For 20 bucks, they ship you up to 4 demos for a week.

Great paddle, but the sweet spot is pretty small allowing for easy mistakes.

I bought the cx14E in June of 2022. I noticed wear on the rim of the paddle about 6 months later. Not knowing the durability but knowing about the 1 year warranty I sent it to gearbox and they replaced it even though it was from my own wear and tear. Thanks Gearbox! I highly recommend the protective tape that is offered! Don’t play on a clay court without it!

Love the feel of this paddle. Love the extra reach it give me but not just that. I still have control of the shot/ball because of the surface.I’ve met the owners, husband and wife, of the company. So genuine, and stand behind their products and the keep getting better.

I purchased this expensive paddle for my wife at her request after she played with a friend's paddle. This is a light, fast, blade design paddle. Thin-face. It has little shock absorption. When playing at the kitchen line it requires a lot of finesse to use effectively. Not a forgiving paddle.

I'm up-leveling my game and needed to move from a starter paddle to one that could deliver more consistent shots. I really like the different material Gearbox uses and how it seems to help me get more control with my shots.

I have been playing with a Selkirk Vanguard S2 as my primary paddle. The new Gearbox cx14 E plays very similarly, yet feels lighter. I have tremendous control and plenty of power. This is not a paddle for bangers. Although there is plenty of power, it is not one of the harder hitting on the market. If you play a finesse game, this is a great choice.
