Does it come with the pieces needed to motorize it?

Motor pieces yes but no battery motor.

I've come across one without the instruction book, any help?

Does this car have a Gear Box and if so what speed?

Yes the model has a six cylinder moving engine with a gear box. The turning radius of the car is too small and poor design.
