I bought this for my 5 yr old granddaughter’s birthday this weekend. Looking at the picture on the box it looks like a child of 5 is playing with the set. I couldn’t find anywhere a tea set for an older child they are all 3+ but when hands are slightly bigger the handles are too small. It’s a very pretty set and I’m sure my granddaughter will love it just the same.

I got this tea set for my 3yo birthday. The little suitcase is pretty and looks great as a gift. The finish of the accessories is really good and size well suited for a young kid. Some of the stuff fell on the wooden floor and survived the fall so I'd say it's forgiving and sturdy. I had bought another set first with more inside from another brand (napkins, teaspoons which this one doesn't have) and I ended up sending back for refund as the finish was rubbish. My daughter absolutely loved this one and it really stood out amongst a sea of other gifts generously gifted by friends and family. We had fake tea all day and a very happy little girl!

I bought this for my niece for her 4th birthday (she's nearly 5 now), as half of her old plastic tea set was missing and the other half a bit grubby, so I thought this would be a good replacement for all our tea parties together. She absolutely loves it. I absolutely love it. It is really great quality - even the carry case has held up well. Honestly, this set has been great fun for us to play with and is a staple in our house whether it's time for tea, playing restaurant or café, or she just wants to drink her juice from this set - it's always being enjoyed. I dropped a cup a week or so ago, and it didn't break. I'm not saying anyone should throw this around on a whim, but it is strong and sturdy and will hopefully become something the family can treasure for generations to come, as is being treasured now with my niece. If you like spending quality time with your little ones, I doubt you'll be disappointed by the quality of this item - I'm not, and I generally scrutinise everything I buy and expect high levels of quality no matter how little or how much I spend.
