Need the valve!
I've had to change my previous review... with more use I've found that the elastic bands are way to short for my head... and yes, I may have a larger head than normal... it's just too tight. The second problem is that these have no 'check valve'. I find that on days that I shouldn't have a fogging problem on my glasses, I do. I tested this brand against a mask that has the valve and I get little to no fogging with the competing brand. This issue alone is enough to make me steer clear of this type mask (or any brand without the valve).

Purchased three different styles of masks recently for my son who works in the concrete industry. These are his favorite and the ones we will reorder. He also has allergies, but can breathe well through this mask. They fit his face and filter out most of the dust swirling around him. Very reasonable price-wise and important to his health. Makes it much easier to do his job.

If you have a rounder face it will cover your chin well but a slender women's chin may have some minor leakage under the chin. If you want a tight seal then you can add alittle foam strip in the chin area of the mask. I'd give it a 4.8 just for the little bit of gap under the chin.

Great protective masks at a great price!
I have a nasty demo job that requires protective masks. These not only were a great value but are top quality. While it initially takes a little getting used to, these masks had a tight fit that didn't allow particles into my nose/mouth area.

Good Quality
Nice and thick. Good quality. Bought for my husband for when he is sanding glass or doing demolition. He has asthma, so this is a must have to keep fine particles out of his lungs while at work.

Great for yardwork
