I bought both a 3 foot length and a 10 foot length for different faucets. Each on worked perfectly! make sure you get enough length to reach from your electric outlet to the very end of what you need to heat. Make it longer than too short and make sure the thermostat is sensing the outside air to work properly.

This is only meant for a straight pipe for a particular length. You can’t coil it , you can’t bend it and you can’t use it for a pipe shorter than what the wire is. It operates on a sensor where if the pipe gets below a certain degrees it heats up. However, the sensor is up near where it plugs in. The wire Hass to be near an outlet and you’re not supposed to use an extension cord.The sensor is not on the wire where it attaches to the pipe. The sensor is near where it plugs in. I couldn’t use it because I was trying to coil around a garage faucet and plumbing which there were too many angles. Plus I did the test to see if it would heat up by putting the wire in ice. I never felt any warmth coming from the wire. The more I write about it the more I think it’s a piece of junk and surprised they gave it a rating of two

I purchased this to heat irrigation pipes that are exposed to the elements. Installation was very simple, and the thermostat feature makes this warmer worry free. After wrapping it around the pipes, I secured it with foam pipe insulation tubes and zip ties. Pipes were kept very warm in a cold snap with temps in the low 20s. Would definitely recommend!

Got it just in time for the national freeze. Put it on pipes in a troubled spot that had freezing problems before.

I have a several barn style spigots around the ranch, but the most important one is in the barn. I've had a couple types of heating cables wrapped around the pipe over the years. None had seemed to keep the pipe from freezing once the temperature got to around zero. I thought I would give this one a try. What a remarkable difference this one made. We had -18 degrees and the water flowed with no issues. This order came with 2 cables. I have a spare if this one ever gives out. Great product!

Can't tell if they work properly until they're used, but you don't see the instructions for proper use until you receive the product.
