Q: What would be the application rate for containers?

I purchased this item after reading a tip on how to grow better tomatoes. Basically half fill the pot/ container with compost, put a handful of the phosphate onto the compost, place the plants root on top of the granules then continue to fill up the pot. I have had better plant growth this year. I can only assume it works. Also it should work of other plants I used it on cucumbers and courgettes all better than last year.

Q: Is this the same as rock phosphate? I've been advised to use rock phosphate for tomato plants.

I used this on my carrot bed (raised bed). Just spread it over then turned it in. Carrots do not need nitrogen makes them fork. I use this and potassium.

For flowers, not the vegetables!

I like the pure chemical approach to gardening. This is the ingredient that will get your plants flowering, but your vegetables bolting, so take care!Very economical compared with garden shop products. Expect rapid results.
