Purple California Hyper-Elastic Polymer King Size Mattress, White

Ordering the Purple, I was hopeful, but not confident. My hope was the bed would be firm enough for my back, but soft enough for my shoulder and arm, where pain from a prior surgery remains.Week 1:The first couple of nights were average, but not as great as I was hoping. I would probably have rated the bed 3 out of 5 stars. The best part initially was it maintained a perfect temperature for me. However, I was considering returning the bed as it was a bit uncomfortable on my hip, even though I could sleep some on my left side.Week 2:Before returning, I figured I would try the jersey sheets Purple recommends. I couldn’t believe the difference. I now consider the Purple the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. Honestly, I still can’t believe the jersey sheets had such a dramatic impact, at least for me. I didn’t like my top sheet jersey, so I have a jersey fitted sheet, and a regular top sheet and just love it.Pros:- IMO, this mattress is ideal for individuals who prefer a firm bed, but need the softness for painful pressure point areas. And yes, I realize that sounds like an oxymoron.- Sleeps at the perfect temperature for me - not too hot, and not too cold.- It is a unique experience. I tried our guest room bed for a nap and couldn't wait to return to the Purple.- I really enjoy being able to feel the unique purple squares as they are very comfortable -- some probably won't.- I no longer roll around and get wound up in my sheets. Now, I just fall asleep, and stay asleep.- I wake up feeling very rested.Cons:- If you require a fancy looking bed, the Purple mattress probably isn’t for you. It was much shorter than my prior pillow-top, though I enjoy this wimpier Purple much more.- The sides of the mattress don't really have a supporting mechanism in place. I should be addressed on Purple 2.0.- My sheets didn't work very well on the Purple. If you don't want to buy different sheets, this probably isn't the right bed.- It's very heavy and would be difficult to move from room to room. Returning it would probably be awful.------As you can see by the photo, our Frenchie loves it too!

Ok so.... I have been dealing with back issues for about 20 years now. I have a sacrum that didn’t fuse right growing up so I have a lot of hip and leg pain. And I have been dealing with a herniated disc (lumbar region) for about 10 years. My beds in the past have been terrible for both issues. I would go to bed in pain, lay in bed in pain, and wake up in pain. I. Was. Miserable. So after talking with my partner, we decided to look into getting a different bed. He too would wake up with back pain every morning. So he did his research and came across Purple. I was skeptical and it took convincing to spend so much money on a mattress. But with the 100 night trial period, I decided to give it a try. It arrived promptly and we were so excited to give it a try so we set it up immediately! We were a little weary about the texture of the bed but we still decided to try it for at least 2 weeks. Well, let me tell you... IT. WAS. AMAZING!!!!! The first night was the first FULL nights sleep I had gotten in what seems like years!!! I actually woke up PAIN FREE!!! It felt like a miracle and almost too good to be true! My partner said the same thing the next morning! I thought maybe it was a fluke and still decided to give it a few days. It wasn’t a fluke! I had been getting the best nights sleep ever!! We’ve had it for about 3 months now and I’ve had NO back pain! I’m definitely overweight and my partner isn’t. I’m a back and side sleeper and he is a side and stomach sleeper. It works for both of us! I know I sound like a commercial but I’m totally being real. It has changed my life for the better! It is sooo comfortable, I look forward to jumping in bed and going to sleep. There would be times before Purple were I would literally cry at the thought of having to go to sleep because of the pain I was in. I am not exaggerating. I can go on and on about how amazing this bed is!! So yeah, if you’re on the fence about trying it, do yourself a favor and try it!

18 months ago I bought a king size purple and I slept great compared to my old memory foam. Then over the months I started to toss and turn a lot more, followed by hip pain. Now, after laying on my back for a few minutes, my hips scream.I finally realized that the purple had turned to mush where I normally lay, my hips were sagging far more than any other part of my body. If I moved to the outside edge of the mattress I would find myself laying at an angle staring at the corner of my ceiling, vice versa if I moved to the middle of the bed. I'm 6' 170lbs, my partner is 5'3" 125 and she has mirrored my restless sleep over the these past months but without the hip pain. We have rotated the purple on a regular basis but it seems to be a function of life of the material.The best part is we are not covered under the warranty because the sag of the material is only .5". It shouldn't matter what the sag is if it doesn't support the user at 170lbs!Short story is a $1300 matress should not fail after 18 months. I would not recommend this mattress at this price.

So far, so good. Its been about 2 months I believe and its still very comfortable. I was able to wake up with no back pain for the first time in years. I do have one worry, it has already sunk in where me and my wife sleep. Not taking stars away because it still gives me the end result I want.Update....My bed has now sunk even more. Starting to get uncomfortable. This is the first time I pay this much for a mattress and turns out the same as when I pay 350$

Finally got my new Purple King mattress today. Not at all difficult to unroll but definitely need at least 2 people, especially for the king - it's heavy.It expanded almost immediately, very little out-gassing.In my town we have a family owned mattress manufacturer. I went and checked out all his mattresses and the only one that suited my husband and I was their most expensive at $4500, a spring mattress with a sophisticated spring system. Too expensive so I researched, checked customer reviews and decided Purple was the way to go. I have to say, the comfort level for both of us is very similar to the $4500 mattress we tried.Would definitely recommend this mattress if you want something good at an affordable price.

I sleep like a rock and hardly move an inch all night. Feeling very rested every morning.Satisfied Customer!
