A little loose but breathable and light
It fit a bit bigger than expected but breathed well. I bought the shirt for a performance I was involved in however I found it comfortable enough to wear on occasion as a casual piece I can wear to the local pub or to the park with my wife for a walk or an outdoor lunch. I'm African-American, not Arab or Persian, but I think being of African descent sorta gives me an admittedly flimsy shield against charges of cultural appropriation. Up to a point! I got the matching all-white puffy pants and shemagh (head wrap) for the show but I think trying to rock all three would get me a well deserved pie in the face. Anyway, I'm 6'3" with a medium to muscular build (I'm a dancer but not skinny!) and the shirt itself fits rather loosely! I'm used to sizing up because of my height and build but had I known how it would fit I might've sized down to an L, rather than an XL. The looseness worked well for the show but if you're planning to wear this casually and your more on the skinny side just go with your normal size or even size down by one.

More of a costume piece
It looks pretty costumey. Would be good for a ren fest or something like that but not as a dress shirt or a poolside shirt like I intended. Also runs about a size small

They ship different shirts
If you’re reading the reviews and wondering why they’re so wildly different, I have the answer.I noticed it first about 8-9 months ago when we ordered an article of clothing on Amazon for my wife (a corset dress). The exact same listing, exact same item, but in 2 sizes to determine which one was a better fit. (It was not via the Amazon Wardrobe program). One was branded appropriately complete with tags. It was high quality with good stitching, structure, and ribbing. The overall quality was as expected from this brand. The second one was essentially the costume version of the item. It had no labels. The packaging was a plastic heat sealed bag. It had single stitching, no backing, no ribbing in the corset, shoe lace strings, and cheap rivets.…and then it happened again with other clothing items. Sellers are mixing in very cheap versions of items with decent versions. They’re playing a numbers game on returns and reviews. This shirt is one of those items. Simply read the reviews to see people who say they got a great linen shirt and others who say they got cheap crap. Once again, I got one of each. One with poor loose stitching and hanging threads, different material, and cheap feeling. One that drapes nicely and looks good and feels like the right material. What’s really odd is that the XL and XXL both nearly fit the exact same way.

Get what you pay for
Simple advice: the dude in the picture is probably 5’10” tall, .04% body fat and he’s probably wearing the 5XL.Now for the backstory: bought this cause I loved the print and style, but figured for the price, I’d be safe and get the largest size they have. I normally wear a 3xl tall, and since this doesn’t come in a tall, I figured with a 5xl I’d be swimming in it, after a wash should probably fit perfectly. THIS IS A EUROPEAN CUT SHIRT, and a small European at that. I could barely get this over my chest and it barely came all the way down my tummy. Granted, I’m a bit chubby, but again I really figured the extra room would be for height alone especially after a shrink in the wash. If you want a visual, I am the exact size and shape of most NFL lineman. 6’5” and 320lbs. Muscle covered with a little chub lol. Now, they suggest “if you want a loose fit you should select one size up”. Which is laughable, since I went two sizes up and this thing was fitting like a compression shirt. It was so laughable in fact I had to look for the tag to make sure they actually sent a 5xl because I would swear it was a 2xl. Needless to say though, it was indeed a 5xl so got my return going. Disappointed and no great lose, but def want to warn anyone over 6’ OR you aren’t a jacked fitness coach, probably should just forget this.
