I was super surprised at the thickness and warmth of this coat. Sadly I won't be wearing it as much as I'd like because it's so warm and I live in SC! It would be perfect for super cold climates. It's great quality and the look is fabulous. I'll need to travel more to colder places just so I can enjoy wearing it more! It's top of the line!Only complaint and no fault of the coats is I have inherited large upper arms and it's a tad snug there.

I am typically a medium/large and the large is perfect! It’s so warm and welcoming. I really like the quality and all the pockets.

I love this coat! It's heavy and warm. Many pockets which I love. If you don't want a heavy coat, this may not be for you, but I love it. Sizing was perfect for me. I'm hoping it'll last for years to come!

I ordered the jacket in brown. It is great quality and very warm I'm sure. But at 5' tall it was just huge on me. I will have to sadly return.

Picture doesn't do this coat justice. There is a drawstring belt that allows a more fitted, flattering fit if desired. This is my new favorite coat. Leather, durable, waterproof, lots of pockets...some hidden. Comfortable and soft interior lining.

I was searching to see if Carhartt made a coat/jacket for women that fell below the hips and ran across this one. I am so glad I did. I love this coat. It's warm, serviceable, and very attractive. (You can cinch in the waist to cut down on the boxiness). Outback Trading's website has all kinds of rave reviews and photos. For size reference, I normally get a 2X in coats (I'm 5'6" and 185lbs). I took a risk based on the company's size chart and went with a 1X. It fits perfectly. I'm thrilled with my purchase!

I really like the look of this jacket but it's super heavy and thick. So the shoulders are kinda small and I'm not a big person. I got it for winter warmth and when I'm splitting wood and taking care of the neighbors bull dog that has bear claws when he jumps on me. I figure it won't tear. Kinda weird to have slant breast pockets but I've seen other jackets that way too. I didn't even get it for the conceal carry but just for a big pocket with easy access.
