Work 3 times, broke on the 4th
I was looking for a measure that was also metric, which can be hard to get, this looked great as it has metric and the numbers are nice and clear. However, on the 4th time I used it, I ran the measure out to its full length of 25ft, and the end of the tape came out fully extended pass the 25ft marker, and then you cannot get it back in. On closer inspection, where the tape attaches to the spring winder mechanism the metal had split/fracture, after so few uses this should not happen. I'm not sure, but it looked lake the tape had almost sort of cut through the piece of metal that attaches it to the winder mechanism, on other tape measures I've seen they have a nylon/plastic insert, I assume to prevent this issue.

A Nice Little Tape Measure
This is a really nice tape measure for the price. The build quality feels really good and it feels comfortably light while maintaining the feel of heft that I associate with a well-made tape measure. It's long enough for my needs (I don't need anything longer than about 10 feet at the moment) and is surprisingly featureful for a $10 (or so) tape measure. The metric and imperial units are a nice touch, but if you can't live with marking lines only on one edge of the tape you might want to look elsewhere. Each edge has measurements: one side is inches and feet, the other side is centimeters and meters. My favorite feature is the dual lock releases. There is a big release above the tape that features prominently in the design. (It's big and angular and impossible to miss.) What might take a bit longer to find is the release button on the underside of the housing, right next to where your index finger curls under it for stability. A quick press after moving your finger and the tape retracts. Very nice.I bought this for a project I was working on. It served my purposes admirably, and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Finally, a great tape measure.
At last. A great tape measure. I work all day with a tape measure. Most are way to big and are uncomfortable to wear on belt or the end of the tape starts to "bend" and is difficult to use. I'm at the four month mark and no issues. The extra button on the bottom is very usefull also.

No Frills, sturdy and reliable measure for the part time handy man
Maerble Self Auto Lock Tape Measure, No More Sore Fingers, Metal Casing, Belt Clip and Strap, 16-Feet This is just a solid old fashioned tape measure. Should sit comfy in your toolbox or hardware drawer and help you around the house for many years. No frills, electronic readouts or laser beam measurements but certainly will do the job at a reasonable price. Not made in the USA which can be an issue for some but i am an infrequent handyman so i took a chance. If you are a professional that works with his hands, you likely have a brand loyalty anyway but for me this fit the bill and so far seems to be a solid choice.Pros:ReliableSturdyValueCons:No "Extra" featuresMade in China may turn off some buyers

It's non magnetic AND THAT'S A GOOD THING!
Works as expected, and the tape length and dimensions are perfect for the metal work I do.If you're a welder or work with steel, don't get a magnetic tape measure. The steel dust will just stick to the magnet and make it an annoyance rather than a benefit. Trust me on this as I purchased some magnetic tape measures and don't use them any longer.

Where has this tape measure been all my life?
First off, I really like how this feels. It's got a good weight to it but it's not too chunky. The automatic locking feature is the real reason I bought this. It works great. Pull out the tape and it stops. No need to push down on a lock. The release is convenient with either top or bottom buttons. All around, this is my new favorite tape measure.
