BTNX Rapid Response 1 Para Urinalysis Reagent Test Strips, 100 Count

I live out in the country and love to shop on line for the convenience!! Once, I attempted to obtain this product from a well known pharmacy chain and they were temporarily out. I have ordered this product twice now and have been pleased with the quality, availability, price, and timeliness of delivery. I will continue to use this product in the future.

I only had these strips for a couple of weeks before the unused test portion changed to a brownish color and I was unable to use them. I returned them easily and bought my usual test strips at the store. I am not sure what happened, I kept them how I always keep them in a dry relatively cool place. I will spend the extra money to get them at the pharmacy. I am lucky these went bad so quickly so that I was still able to return them.

I purchased these back in January 2016 and they have been my favorite tester to date (I've tried about 4 other generic type brands). The reason they are my favorite is because I can easily tell the color difference between trace and no ketones. With other brands, I had difficulty telling the difference in the two colors. Other than that, all the darker colors are easily noticeable in all brands I've used.I use these sticks on my low carb (Keto) diet after carb days to test if I am back in ketosis or if I was kicked out of ketosis. I do not use these daily or multiple times a day because, as I adapt more successfully to ketosis and hydrate well, the sticks are not as helpful. Not sure of the science behind it though. However, if you use them less frequently, be careful with storage, expiration date and packaging. I didn't close the lid correctly one day and due to humidity, all the strips turned gray. Once they turn, they are no longer useful.I removed a star due to the title, which is a little misleading. As others have mentioned this is in no way a fully urinalysis and only the most basic way to test ketones.

I purchased these last year in early May to check ketones for a ketogenic diet, they work like every other brand, I keep them sealed tight in the bottle, and didn't use all of them, I started a ketogenic diet again this year and still had some of the strips from last year so when I strated up again I used the year old ones while I waited to order these, they still worked, and the new ones I ordered were ship the day after I ordered them and arrived two days later. The way I use these is I collect a sample in a cup a dipped the stick in and out quickly, then lightly tap excess off on the side of the cup on the plastic side of the sick, wait about 30 seconds and check for color, if they start turning rosie to purple you're in ketosis, if they stay a fleshy color you're not, no problems, If you want to use them by passing though your urine I wouldn't hold these in the stream too long as I think the chemicals will wash away, and I would quickly pass the plastic side of the strip into the stream with the chemical facing away away, the liquid tension pulls urine around to the test spot. They seem to be acceptable, for the price you can't go wrong, they work the same as the major name brand for close to a quarter of the price for the same quantity. I highly recommend.

Maybe it was just the box I got - but the strips I'm using are very dull in color - and make it very difficult if not impossible to determine low level of ketones. I used a different brand for comparison (I couldn't believe my ketones were so low after a week) and the comparison product showed a significantly higher ketone level than these strips.I originally bought them to keep track of my low-carb diet to measure when I was in a state of Ketosis, but I can't use these now because if I'm anything under a moderate amount, it always shows up as negative, or close to negative. (Low-carb dieters will often have only a small amount of ketones in the blood stream so having an accurate measurement is very important).Looking over some of the reviews here, it look's like I'm not the only one with this same issue. I wouldn't recommend this brand - but instead the Bayer, or even Walgreens generic strips. These ones may be cheaper but I ended up wasting my purchase amount for a product that didn't work for my needs.

The Rapid Response Ketone test strips work as expected and deliver equivalent results to the Bayer version. However, the color of the test pad is not as clear as the Bayer brand of Ketosticks. The colors appear slightly faded and do not seem to develop evenly.Even so, the Rapid Response strips do meet my needs, cost less than the Bayer brand, and are available via Amazon instead of a third party seller. I will buy this item again.

These strips are just wonderful! I use them every couple of days to check on my Keto diet and to make sure it works! I know some people say its unnecessary but I just like the peace of mind these high quality strips provide. The container was sealed as you would expect and they perform exactly as you would expect! If you're looking for quality ketone testing strips at a bargain price then this is it!

Atkins diet & needed keto strips. These work perfectly! I tested myself, and I was in ketosis! The next week, I went off my diet at a dinner at my boss's house. I tested the strips when I got home later, and it said I was out of ketosis. Perfect, they worked! Very easy to read. Do note that if you drink tons of water and your urine is super dilute, it's not going to give you accurate readings.
