As a mom of 3, I wish I’d thought of this with my first two kids! We saw the ad for this on social media during pregnancy and decided to get it. I was curious about the effectiveness, given that I clipped nails for the first two babies and wasn’t sure how a file would do. However, I believe I prefer this baby file over anything now! It’s super easy to use while feeding or rocking baby, fits my thumb well for ease of use, the mini files stick to the thumble and it comes with a full set for replacement. It’s a pretty awesome little set!

Great for those early days when you are freaking out about accidental scratches and have to trim your miniature wolverine. I have been using this since I got discharged from the hospital ~2 months. I have one of those Frida nail machines but I’m still using this as it’s very convenient and you have more control.

These do the job for filing down your baby’s nails, but I wouldn’t purchase again. It’s still a little difficult to really file or get to the nail’s edges properly. It’s an easy thing to do while nursing your baby. I wish the adhesion of the files were a little stronger.

I like that these eliminates the use of both hands and that it’s easy to use when you’re holding your baby. I feel that the file’s grit could be a tad bit coarser and the adhesion needed to be way stickier. With this, you’d need to file their nails daily or at least every other day.

Works great on infants as well as rambunctious toddlers.

I very rarely write product reviews. Unless it’s a stellar product, I don’t see the need to tell other buyers that a product does just what it’s supposed to. HOWEVER, do yourself a favor and buy a Thumble right now. My girl is 7 weeks old and she hasn’t once had the opportunity to scratch her face because her nails were too long. I also haven’t accidentally injured her by trying to cut her nails. I tried to use a regular nail file on her when we got home from the NICU, but she quickly became very irritated with me. No more! This thing is a pleasure to wear and a breeze to use. Nails are gone and the file is gentle enough that I can rub the whole tip of her tiny finger and it doesn’t hurt her or do any damage to her skin. I’ve already bought one as a “welcome baby” gift, and it will become my go-to shower gift.

Not my favorite purchased item. The thumb holder is too big for my hand and it falls off a lot of the time while trying to file nails down. I have only used it a couple of times and have already switched to baby nail clippers. The files do stick well the holder. Not my favorite product.

Anyone with a baby must know how difficult it is to get there hands to stop moving to clip their little razor blade nails. This has made life so much easier, just holding their hand while I file away during a nap. Doesn’t disturb the baby at all and works great.
