I grew up playing an original NES at my grandparents. I still have it and many games, arcade pad, guns for duck hunt, etc. So I wanted to pay ohmage to the original Nintendo and add a new look to my switch. I am by no means a pro gamer on my switch or in general, but I do play 4k 144hz PC gameplay mainly, so I have an idea of what good response time and control feels like. I like the octagonal joystick, I'm sure it's a little off as others have shown, but I have noticed nothing in the games I play at all. If you're truly a pro maybe spend more than $22 on a shell is all I have to say about that. This is more than worth the money and effort. So far in my reshelling with their products, the pro controller was the easiest for me. Just watch the video, and make sure you buy a better screw driver set for $8 that is recommended on here. It is worth it. Unfortunately Amazon was out of stock on the Dock faceplate that is pictured, but I got it on walmart's website easily for the same price. For the docked and pro con I went with console styled nostalgia. I got the clear atomic purple set for my actual switch, as it is handheld and I had one of the clear purple gameboys as a kid, so it makes me really happy to see this purple on my joycons and switch. I paired it with their chrome blue button set. Looks great. Just remember if you want to do a full makeover, the thin front plate that goes around the screen on the switch is sold separately from the set that has the back piece and the joycon shells.

Controller looks amazing and easy to install

Very good and worth it. Closest thing to the classic GameCube thumb-stick feel. BUT, my shell was not a perfect fit; There are a few seems that just barely won't shut all the way. Otherwise, a great purchase. Buy it if that's your sorta thing.

The media could not be loaded.  This shell is simply an amazing fit and feel!!! I had no issues with teardown or reassembly. The fit on all seams is tight and as uniform as the original shell. The octagonal gate thumb sticks give this the feel of a gamecube thumb stick. The look is amazingly close to original NES. Bridging the gap from 1980 all the way to today. My intent is to play Mario 3D allstars with the original 8 sided thumbsticks. This gives back the original feel of N64, GCN, and Wii thumbsticks. Mario needs these 8 directions to properly navigate without falling off course. I'm sure this will bring all of that to the table. I was wary to teardown a true Nintendo controller shell and put on a 3rd party shell but Extreamerate proved me absolutely wrong. They know without any doubt how to mold plastic without flaws. My single and only caveat was the handles took multiple tightening phases before the handles finally stopped a tiny side to side twist movement. Once on my 3rd tightening I finally dared put the force to torque each handle down until they finally set into there final rest position without and remaining looseness. I would say it's as simple as don't over do these last 2 screws. Just repeat torque a few times and let it settle. The plastic didn't seem to have any plans whatsoever in stripping out. Just don't over do it right away work the screws in slowly and repeat as needed. I love this new shell already and its oy been installed 5 minutes. I even reviewed this product prior to heavyweight testing. That is how much faith I have to is going to be excellent. 5 star must buy if you want a gamecube feel from a pro controller. I bought a new pro controller and used this shell to make my old pro controller new and as a bonus make it smash bros and 3d mario perfection!!! NLP est. 1980.

I think these shells are great overall. They were easy to install, look great, and the gates are great for games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I will issue a warning for those who decide to pick white as their color that the it can start to brown/yellow in some places over time whether it's on certain surfaces or from your hands. I plan on replacing my shell soon but might pick a different color to avoid this in the future.

Great value for price.Fits the stock Switch Pro Controller perfectly and was on within minutes. The NES style came with a soft-touch paint (you can tell by looking at non-visible part it was sprayed on) that wasn't advertised, but I found to feel SOOOOO nice. It felt like an added bonus.The only criticism I have is the octagonal gates are not exact, but close (as others reported). For me it's close enough that it shouldn't cause missed inputs or issues, but this is the only thing I wish could be fixed as it's a bummer to an otherwise flawless product.

The shell itself looks pretty good however it did not work very well at all.Firstly, when I tried to put the motherboard in with the front panel, it wouldn't fit so I had to mess around with sandpaper for at the very least 20 minutes to get it to fit in. Then, in the end when I did get it in, there was still a gap in the controller and now the buttons are fairly tight, however I'm not sure if this is due to the buttons(sold by this company as well) or the case itself.I'm quite disappointed in this as I payed quite a lot for this

Good quality, feels close to OEM. Cheapest way to get an octagonal gate mod for your pro controller by far.

If you are worried about the quality of the plastic, I can assure it looks and feels good. It might differ, but for the SNES one it feels very soft.The only reason I didnt give it a 5 star was because of a couple of small details. The buttons do feel a bit looser and the shells arn't as flush as they could be. Overall this is a very good shell replacemt and the minor flaws are tolerable.The loose buttons arn't bad, but you will notice a difference. If you think that will bother you I reccomend getting a shell that looks good with your current buttons.
