Developmental Biology 11th Edition

This is possibly the best textbook I've ever used. It explains all of the concepts so well and allows even a beginner in biology to understand some of the more difficult concepts. I bought it for a class and have found myself thumbing through it for fun. I highly reccomend if you're interested in developmental biology or if you are taking a class about this subject.

Easy to understand.

This book really has been sparking my interest in the subject, and the same goes for my instructor for my course in Developmental Biology. This book is very good in combination with a knowledgeable professor who can help you to understand the material. It is not an easy subject to learn.If you take a class in this, you might not need to know everything in this book for exams. There are a lot of details presented, so to avoid feeling overwhelmed, just try to focus on the most important information, such as what was presented in lecture or what is relevant to the project you are working on, and think of the rest as a resource in case you need it later.

After taking the hardcover book out of the delivery box, I quickly noticed that the top right corner on the front side of the book was slightly damaged. It had about an inch-long cut opening, nothing serious, yet disappointing since I was expecting it to arrive in new condition.The book is very useful, well written, and consists of easy to understand images, diagrams, tables, and other visuals. The most outstanding characteristic of the literature is that it manages to explain how development processes occur, at a molecular and cellular level within many model organisms, and describes key experiments references that led to those findings and conclusions. The online learning website included was also useful, yet still under development.

This textbook arrived brand new, still wrapped in plastic. It’s a perfect book for introductory developmental biology. It includes a lot of detail on different developmental patterns of various organisms and the significance of each.

No quarrels. The book is as excellent as expected.

This provides so much information on such an interesting subject. There is a high level of detail while remaining understandable. Best developmental textbook I have picked up.

Honestly, it goes over excessive with details it doesn't need to. It's too philosophical, it should be straight to the point. Not the best book of developmental biology, it's okay if you really need a book.
