It just came yesterday and I really like it so far. This seems to fit in with our decor somewhat. I didn't really need it to change colors, but that's just a fun feature. I'm more impressed that we might have fewer problems with airborne dust in the house. Years ago, I had one that was a pain to clean and I never wanted one that required expensive HEPA filters. I can see why libraries use them. Instead of whooshing, there is NO NOISE at all. Just quiet. I found that I can dim or brighten the light and was able to turn it off, too, so I could actually use it in the bedroom instead. ONLY ONE PROBLEM: My unit came with a manual that didn't mention the Lotus Model, it was for 5 models called "Iris" which didn't tell me how to open and turn on MY model. I was afraid I might ruin it since things aren't labelled on the unit and the drawings of the other model are different. I had to look online for an instruction manual!

If it does work as it claims, 5.5 stars, but as it is now—There’s a distinct burnt cooked smell emitting from the lotus, and in my head, a spider must’ve tried to burrow itself into one of the capillaries and got cooked. Seeing cobwebs at a corner right above the lotus and a sticky caramel subtance on the clear plastic, I get a feeling that a bug may have been cooked by the lotus and left behind a liquidated substance, but wothout a single spider leg in the burnt caramel, cant confirm...had to clean the substance, a line like a drool inside the clear plastic wall, with a makeshift brush. It loses a star because I couldn’t disassemble the lotus for a thorough cleaning due to a burnt smell.

Airfree destroys mold, dust mites, bacteria, viruses, pollens, pet dander, tobacco and other organic allergens. The entire process is completely silent and requires no maintenance, not even the occasional replacement of filters. All you have to do is switch on the device and let it do the job.

There is no noticeable change in air quality or smell. Basically sits there, using electricity and you honestly wouldn't even notice if you turned it off or on without the LED lights it has. And also, after about 4 - 5 months of solid use, the internal thermo-generating contraption loses it's power and doesn't even heat all the way like it did when first plugged in out of the box. A GIANT WASTE OF MONEY!!!

I tried two different air purifiers before finally settling with the Coway AirMega 300S. The Airfare products might work just fine, but, without scientific measuring equipment it's impossible to know if it is helping at all. Personally, I didn't notice any difference at all. I need to go to a product that moved a lot of air to be sure that I was achieving any results at all.

The thing is called filter free. The first description says it uses no filter but the next paragraph described it as using a HEPA filter. Why? I cannot trust a product that says opposite things about itself.Does it use a filter or does it not?

It’s so silent that I stood staring at it, waiting for it to do something. It IS doing something. It’s silently murdering everything that doesn’t belong in my bedroom’s air. I have respiratory problems and I feel - after a month - that they’re easing. Thank you.Oh, and the colours are fun. I keep it on blue now.
