I would recommend this product to any dog owner as a life ...
This is now my second scalibor, the first time we used it was last summer in the South West of France. The area is known for its tick fever in dogs, our friends lost 2 dogs in 6 months to it so I am very careful about keeping my dog safe. He is an American bulldog and is white so he has had skin reactions and allergies so we decided to try the collar. He has had no adverse reactions to it and he was protected all summer. There is also the risk of sand mosquitoes in the area and the scalibor was a recommendation from our vet. Amazon of course being much cheaper than the vet!! I would recommend this product to any dog owner as a life saver.

This one, no question.
I live in the sticks and there are all kindsa ticks, deer sheep etc. I've used this make a few years on my collie. Dont bother with another. It's worth the money - keeps ticks away, doesnt irritate him, doesnt fall off and lasts months.

Perfect
I bought this type of collar last year because we were traveling across Europe and staying in Greece for a month. The one collar covers sandflies (rife in Greece) as well as fleas and ticks. It also keeps mosquitoes away - which is good, especially in Italy! The collar lasts the whole summer, doesn't smell, and most importantly with our long-coated dog, it does not pull or tear his fur. It doesn't slip or undo itself either - once you put it on, it's on until you take it off (the dog can't do it) Worth the money to replace the cheaper one I'd originally tried this year, and which failed on almost every count on the above!
