Great "Feel good" present for any friend
I loved this book from Trixie, Dean Koontz's dog.If you've read Dragon Tears, you'll know how good Dean Koontz is at writing text that sounds like a dog speaking.Any you'll know that he generally writes books full of ghosts and ghoulies... although, while I'm not a regular reader of the genre, I think his stories are great, so much more than the usual fare in that genre. But in Life Is Good, there is none of that. Just lots of stuff to make the reader feel good.A great book to leave on a coffee table... you can dip into it.A great book to send to any friend with an illness or other difficulty imposing on their live. Not "polyanna", but celebrating the Good Stuff... though SOME of what Trixie considers Good Stuff must be taken as analogies for what HUMANS find good. A soggy tennis ball isn't quite MY favorite toy, but Trixie's love of one reminds me of things I DO enjoy.

Happy is an under statement.
"Always take time to smell the flowers and laugh until your face hurts"Trixie Koontz (Dog) is the happiest, bounciest, most joyful creature in all America. Who better than her, with a best selling author as a father, to write lessons in joyful living? This book, which is jam packed with delightful pictures of the optimistic Trixie, is like a bible to me. Whenever I’m feeling down, a little sad or just bored I pick up this book and laugh until my face hurts. It isn’t just a joke though, underneath the laughter are serious lessons which, if obeyed day to day, do indeed result in a happier healthier life. Trixie’s teachings touch on trust, self esteem, safe driving, meditation, peanut butter, holidays, swimming, napping, and abiding love for all creatures…including bacon.Trixie’s words of wisdom warm your heart and the secrets of the canine world that are shared with mankind throughout this book will make you jump up and shout about how “Life is good”.As Trixie says “be as much like a dog as you can – and be happy”. This book has made me who I am today, without it I would be dull, quiet and pessimistic. Trixie Koontz (dog) will teach you how to live. This book is a ton of laughs, beautiful photographs and instructions for life and will show you how to love.
