Purchased was on a gift list. Person that got this used them daily and loves them

If your only previous experience w/S&P is shakers, this will take some getting used to. With a salt shaker you can pretty much indiscriminately sprinkle. With a salt grinder, the output is a much larger grain and it will not fall / spread as uniformly with a shaker. You control where the grinds land. The larger grains produced by a grinder also results in much more saltiness on your food than with a shaker. You'll find that once you grind you'll need to toss your food to work it in. I'm still getting used to it.

Since this is completely glass the first set I got, arrived in pieces so I had to get it again. The second time was a charm. Nothing was broken. This is replacing another grinder I have. the reason I really like this one is because there's a lid. The other brand I own does not have one and it makes such a mess. I have salt all over because of that. These are very simple yet attractive in design. There's nothing fancy just classic. You can easily adjust the coarseness of each grinder to whatever your needs are. They worked out very well for me as did the lids. The one shaker is not level on the bottom so it rocks on the granite counter top. Realized it after it was filled and packaging was thrown away : (

This is a great set of salt and pepper grinders. I read one review before I purchased that they produce a lot of ground pepper or salt with one turn - and they really do! Very easy to get enough seasoning into a pot or skillet of food - or for just a touch on your plate. Would highly recommend.

They worked fine but when it came time to refill them I couldn't get the tops off..

Only criticism is one of the glass bottoms is unbalanced and wobbles. Aside from that they work well. Easy to use, fill and cap. They grind very well . If you could get a replacement for the glass bottom without returning them 5 stars.

Have these on the dining room table in our new home. We like them a lot as do or guests.
