It's not supposed to be this difficult!
Trouble started right away.It would not connect via WiFi nor with the QR code with our phone to set it up. Had to go out and spend additional money on an ethernet cable since this kit doesn't include one.Once we connected with the ethernet cable, the software launched right to an admin screen asking for a password, not a "create password" screen. WTFHad to reset the box. Finally got to the "create password" screen to be able to set things up.It detected no WiFi connections. Maybe we were too far away. We brought the unit directly to the source. It still didn't detect the campground WiFi. WTFThen it gave a pop up error saying we had to plug in the USB device (the antenna). Couldn't get past that screen. As soon as you go to the URL for the box, the scan starts immediately and you can't get out of the "plug in USB device" error screen to get to any of the controls in the software.Contacted seller asking who to contact for technical support. They send us links to Youtube video and other stuff that we already researched prior (it's how we learned to reset the box at the start).Contacted seller again. .Seller suggested to replace the USB cable that's provided with a lower powered one (??) and to update the firmware (they provided the file) and test again.I couldn't get to the page to update firmware due to the provided USB extension causing an error. I'm not in a position to purchase another USB extension. I have a 3 foot long USB extension to use on the antenna so tried that. Was finally able to get to the maintenance screen, reset the box and update the firmware. Tried to scan, but it detected nothing (the source is right across the street from us). But since the antenna was inside, I expected those results. We put the antenna outside with the original USB extension and got the dreaded "plug in the USB device" warning. So, now we have to go out and spend additional money on a USB extension before we can try it again to see if it will detect any WiFi? Why am I having to spend extra money on this? WTFTried with our short USB extension with the antenna outside a window. It finally detected the campground WiFi across the street but the connection was extremely poor. I got a better connection hanging my dongle out the window.Another issue is needing the Ethernet cable... according to the instruction video on Youtube, we should no longer need the Ethernet cable once the network is set up, so I unplugged it. As soon as I did we "lost connection to the network" on all connected devices. It just isn't working for us as it does for everyone else. We need a call tag so that we can return it for refund or replacement. We shouldn't have to be spending extra $ on this thing to get it to work.I will update this review as things develop and/or someone out there can help us out with some kind of solution.

Great antenna and great company.
Fantastic product. Easy to install and performs as advertised.I am using this with my travel trailer to boost the signal of camp WiFi. Exactly what it is built for.TechnoRV is the company that distributes the product and they send their own instruction booklet which made set up take a total of 15 minutes.I wish I had paid attention and ordered parts to mount the antenna outside. For those who hope to set up on arrival I would recommend keeping this in mind. I satisfied the need by using my GoPro suction mount with the included zip ties until I get a more permanent option.I ran the included USB cable from the antenna through the seal on our slide out. I almost wish the cable was shorter because I had a significant amount of excess to hide.Lastly. If you are expecting this to bring you faster WiFi I would check the speed of the camp WiFi next to a router (like at the office). This products main job is to extend the signal to your trailer and does not help the classically slow WiFi offered for free at most campgrounds.

Very happy with this purchase!
This Alfa WiFi Camp Pro 2 Long Range WiFi Repeater was easy to set up and it works great. We're spending several months at an RV park that has good wifi, but because of our site, we couldn't really pull it in. Now we can even stream Amazon Prime Video and Netflix shows. But the best thing is that we have a constant, good signal for everything from reading the news, checking emails, or blogging to streaming TV. This came from a 3rd party vendor called Techno RV. I only mention that because they sent some instructions with the kit and they were better than the instructions that came with it. As you can see from the pictures, we installed it on our existing RV ladder using a PVC pipe. We then routed the USB cord in through a window. There's not enough of a gap for bugs or rain to get in. When we leave we'll just snap off the zip ties and uninstall it. I hope this review helps. There are some bad reviews for this product, but we've had a very good experience with it.

Good WiFi solution for RVing
I have only used this at one RV park so far and it helped TREMENDOUSLY!!! The WiFi in the park was there but not strong enough to use in my RV and this antenna made it so I could actually use the WiFi for web surfing AND video streaming.I will re-iterate that the WiFi extender can only be as good as the park WiFi, so if the park WiFi goes in and out or fluctuates with usage, that will effect the WiFi you receive through the antenna.I do really like that using the antenna sets up a private network.Set up was easy if you follow the Set up instructions there also are some YouTube videos of people setting it up themselves which was helpful as well. The USB cord is really long so I could run it along my roof (22ft trailer), through a roof vent and into my rig.I knew many of the places I would travel wouldn’t have good enough cell service to set up a mobile hotspot to use WiFi in my rig and this antenna is the perfect solution for that! Plus no monthly cost for WiFi, just pay for the antenna and you are set!

Exactly what we needed!!
Exactly what we needed!!We purchased this to help our online business run while spending 4-1/2 months on a campground at 8600 ft and spotty at best WiFi from our area managers RV that was shared with us while work camping. We then preceded to use it at multiple locations all around the country with multiple different WiFi distances. Parking lots, Elks clubs, campgrounds and moochdocking at friends and families. Worked flawlessly once I got the fantastic technical support from the seller. Yep they answered the phone and talked me through my situation with ease, BTW it was my operator error not the equipment. We can’t say enough good things about the seller or the product. Recommend to everyone that asks about it.
