Pr+ A Smarter Whey, Vanilla Crème, 18.8 oz.

I bought this at my local Metropolitan Market, chocolate flavor. I had high hopes for it since it was $44.99 for a this size of tub and it smelled great. After drinking it, I can certainly say that I do not like it at all.After shaking one scoop/serving up in 20oz of water, I smelled the mixture; it seemed like there were some fumes coming off of it, which was strange but I thought it was just in my imagination so I drank some. While exhaling and inhaling, I can distinctly feel a fume permeating from it, which seems to remain in my mouth, similar to how a very strong alcoholic drink's fumes can linger, though the fumes don't feel or taste like alcohol. It's hard to describe but it bothers me very much.Also, the mixture just leaves me with a slightly nauseous sickly feeling that kills my hunger and mood.This is the first protein powder that has ever had this effect. I've tried about 5 other types and none have ever done this to me.This is also the first protein powder I've ever bought that has actual sugar (listed as sugar alcohols) and not splenda, lo-han guo, sucralose, etc.This may be a "premium" protein powder but the formula will have to be drastically altered if they want my business again.

The best protein powder I have ever tasted. It doesntleave any weird tastes or feeling in my mouth and mixes easily. I add a scoop with some chia powder to milk and it tastes like a milk shake!

I have been using PR+ for roughly a year now to supplement my protein diet for training with my rowing team and I can safely say it is the best protein powder I have tried. It doesn't have the typical taste associated with protein powders such as Muscle Milk or GNC products. The taste is more subtle and any flavor of this powder can be mixed with water and remains very drinkable. The flavors are very accurate and the cappuccino really tastes like coffee bean.I can say without a doubt that PR+ helped me to recover after difficult workouts, and I would often rely on it to relieve much of my soreness after a particularly brutal training day. I've taken PR+ before training or directly after training, and even before bed; all produced a tangible feeling of my muscles being aided in recovery.
