They are microwave safe. I picked these as they don't have any gold on them and makes them microwave safe. I have never put them in an actual oven and probably wouldn't. Hope this helps!

Yes it is good quality. We used it with hot tea and hot chocolate several times and it withheld the heat. Very good.
