This chamois shirt is made of our heaviest chamois, the thick 9-ounce fabric has been brushed on both sides and pebble-washed for a soft finish, button-down chest pockets with mitered flaps; adjustable cuffs; shirttail hem; spread collar, 100% cotton, imported, machine wash

Warm, well-constructed with features missing on competing brands, excellent value
I bought this shirt, and another in blue to replace some older Eddie Bauer shirts that I have owned for decades. The fabric is nice and thick, and thicker than competing shirts (LL Bean, Eddie Bauer) that I also looked at. With a somewhat foggy, wet, cool summer here locally, I definitely appreciate the extra weight and warmth. There is a nice level of detail in the construction. Having flaps and buttons on the front pockets allows you to put things in the pockets without worrying about them falling out. One thing I would have liked, a feature that used to be on chamois shirts is a hanger loop on the back so that you can hang the shirt on a hook. I will also add that compared to vintage Eddie Bauer shirts, this one is sized a bit smaller. If you are in-between sizes, I would recommend getting the larger version. I am hoping that I will shrink a bit, but if I were to reorder the shirt today, knowing what I know now, I would probably go the next size up.

Fantastic fit, great quality.
Another perfectly-fitting shirt from Woolrich. I bought this to replace a couple of old ones that I found at a Goodwill 10 years ago. They were well-worn then, and I got another 10 years out of them. I see no change in quality from those old shirts to this new one. 2XL heavyweight chamois, that fits my 6'2" 220lb frame perfectly.I own several other Woolwich shirts, and all of them are well-made and fit perfectly. I've bought shirts from all the "big name" companies over the years, and none of them match up when it comes to the fit. I will probably buy another one of these. They are great for cool/cold weather, with room to layer underneath.

Perfect for Nebraska winters
If you want a super thick and well made Chamois shirt then this is the one for you. I bought the XL for my husband who likes to wear T-shirts under long sleeve flannel shirts. I wanted him to have something thicker than flannel that would last longer and this shirt is ideal. He loves the thickness and how soft it is. It was a little stiff at first but after one or two washes with fabric softener that did the trick. I liked it so much I bought a size L for myself to use as an over coat/jacket. Highly recommend!

Too short.
I got a large. I'm 5'10". Fits fine at the shoulders, chest, waist, but tucks about 1" into my jeans on the sides, and the arms are about 2" too short.Nice solid material, thick, tightly woven. The proportions are just off. I don't even bother to wash and dry it carefully anymore. I only wear it about the house, over a t shirt, just to keep a bit warmer.

I like it!
I am 6' and 170 lbs. The large was too large. The medium fits perfectly. It is long enough to tuck-in or to wear un-tucked. The 9 oz is heavy and nice. I replaced the dark blue with a medium red, but the bright red was way to much red. I wanted the blue and was able to find one. I think it might collect some lint easily. I'll see as I just got it and washed it once. The prewash by Woolrich worked great. It did not bleed. I tested it first in hot water in a white tub sink. I am going to enjoy this shirt!!

Vey Nice Shirt
I bought this for my Dad. It's a very heavy, well made shirt. He usually wears Cabella's Chamois shirts in a Large and they fit okay. This was really too big for him. It was way too long in the body and sleeves. He is 5'4", so it's not that unusual.I tried shrinking it by washing in warm and drying on high. It didn't shrink.I hope this information helps others make a decision.

I wear 38-40 size shirts and have long arms. ...
I wear 38-40 size shirts and have long arms. I ordered a large size. This one fits slightly large, and a bit long in the sleeves, but not enough to be a problem. Washing instructions caution about washing cold, tumble drying low to prevent shrinkage. I intentionally washed hot, dried on high to reduce size slightly. It did not visibly shrink.

Nice, thick, warm, and generally good attention to detail in the construction.
I have been a Woolrich fan for many years, and have bought many items of clothing with the Woolrich tag. I have generally thought that they were well made, and quite a few items lasted for many many years. I thought it was time to replace several worn chamois shirts, and liked the option of a heavier weight fabric than LL Bean and Eddie Bauer provide. In the part of California I inhabit, these shirts are warm enough to serve as a light jacket in the winter, and often that is all you need.Comparing this shirt to the other Large chamois shirts I have and am replacing, these seem to run slightly small. It is an incentive to lose some weight. I suspect that an extra large would have been too big. It would have been nice if they had put a loop on the back so that you could hang the shirt on a hook, but this shirt does not have this feature, and it seems to have disappeared from other shirts as well. The buttons are a nice size and easy to grab even if your hands are a bit stiff. The buttoned front pockets are nice if you carry a cell phone or your wallet in your shirt/jacket pocket.
