Any problems with shrinking or shedding?

Somehow I overlooked the fact that it needs to be dry cleaned, and I’ve washed it at least 5 times on gentle, and air dried. I’ve had it for a year of heavy use by humans and animals and it looks and feels like new.. No problem with shedding or shrinking. It’s a great blanket.

It seems to really smell. Is that normal. Will it go away?

I personally really liked the smell it had upon arrival. Very nice natural wool smell. My husband did not like it and said it was stinky. We’ve had the blanket in use now for 5 months and there is no smell whatsoever. My husband loves the blanket now just as much as me. I would say the smell has been gone for awhile now. Maybe it took 2 months or so. Definately will go away though. We did not wash it.

How warm is this compared to wool comforters since this is only a blanket, lightweight?

I love this blanket! I do not have heat in my bedroom and I use this blanket with a regular comforter on top. Keeps me nice and toasty. I have not tried any other wool blankets before.
