What metals is this stove made of?

I believe it’s stainless steel. It’s a great stove, I use it everywhere I hike n backpack and it looks n functions like new. I’ve had it for several years.

How well does it work in windy condition? Is wind shield a must have ?

I have used it with no problems in windy conditions. Mountain cliff on the lost coast trail in evening winds and had no issues and food cooked fast. I have used a sit pad to block wind but it wasnt necessary

How does this compare to msr pocketrocket delux and fire-maple polaris?

Functionally it is probably similar with the way the burner output is constructed (high walls around the flame for wind protection). The biggest difference, and the reason i chose this one is that there are 4 arms on the burner to hold your cookpot. This is preference, but tend to use varying sized pots for trips and this works perfect for all

Will this stove simmer?

Yes, this stove has the full range from low simmer to full blast boil. I have this one, brs and giga power and this feels like it has the best flame—flame sits closer to pot than giga

Good stove

Not quite as light as my old Snow Peak, but that one was not self igniting. Also a lot more stable with a pot on top. The tiny bit of extra weight saved time and added convenience. The stove works great, and the flame adjusts nicely. The pot was the one cooking vessel we took on a five-day trek. We used it for light cooking as well as boiling water. The lid is a great feature. Much more stable than the lids on my titanium set, and the slit made it easy to drain the water off pasta. The non-stick surface worked well and stood up to sautéing wild mushrooms.

Unfassbar gut

Für den Preis ist das ein unfassbar gutes Set. Ich habe es ab sofort auf meinen Trekkingtouren dabei. Der Brenner lässt sich sehr gut regeln, auch wenn der Regler des viel teuren Windmaster noch besser ist. Für meine Bedürfnisse ist dies das perfekte Set-Up.
