I was recently feeling a bit ill, mainly fatigued and a possible temperature, and I think for the first time in my adult life I wished I had a thermometer, so I ordered this on same day delivery.Given it's been about 25 years since I'd even thought about one, it came as a bit of a shock to see digital gizmo's costing in the £50 range. Considering I'll probably use it once and forget about it for 10 years I didn't want to pay that, but for £10 this is a nice to have in the house.I can't compare it to more expensive models, all I can say is that this is super simple to use, gave readings accurate enough to tell if something is wrong or not, and while not an issue for me yet, I was impressed with the size of the reading LED, it's very easy to read. I'm happy with the purchase for sure.

This is simple to use: aim or put against your forehead and push the button. The reading is big so easy to read and the background colour changes : green for normal range, Amber for slightly elevated and red for high.It takes standard AAA batteries which I leave out when not in use for long periods to stop them draining. There's no set up so you can just reinsert batteries and use straight away.Accuracy, I can't verify but it's good enough, if you're consistent in how you take the temperature.

I love the ease and speed of use of this thermometer. I have the old glass thermometer still and they both have very similar readings. Perfect for if someone is in bed asleep or a restless child as it takes literally 3 seconds of stillness to get a reading.

Being completely ignorant of anything to do with thermometers, I ended up purchasing this device wondering if I'd made a mistake and expected the worst but I can honestly say that I'm very pleased with my choice and can highly recommend it.The price was agreeable to me (less than £20) but I can't attest to its accuracy. However, I've used it daily for the past 4 weeks and it's displayed a consistent range between 36.7 and 37.0 so I can't complain. It's a pity that one of the marketing photos displays 38.6 on a green background, suggesting that's somehow ok and it's been pointed out before so you're left wondering who monitors these promotional shots.Altogether an easy to use and reliable piece of kit.

Well made contact-less thermometer. Good size for anybody with hand issues. Point the top of the device within 1 or two centimetres (half to 1 inch) of the forehead and press the button. Instant reading with audible beeps and change of display colour display if outside of the normal human temperature range, green if within and orange etc. if not. Clear and large numbers. Comes with a protective bag. I would reccomend this device as its so simple to use with clear results and of good size.

Bought this as a second thermometer to an all in one forehead and in ear Lidl branded thermometer. It arrived quickly and seems quite sturdy. Only used it a few times but so far so good and seems quite accurate and has the feature to switch between temperatures for surfaces and objects and people which is useful if you need to check say milk temperatures for babies etc. IlIt is comfortable to hold and the buttons are really easy to use and conveniently located if you’re right handed but no great shakes if you’re left handed to use your thumb. It turns off automatically after a short time. Good inexpensive piece of kit, much simpler than my Lidl all in one to just point and click. Looks good in black too!

I used this to measure my husbands temperature as he wasn't feeling well.It indicated that his temperature of 36.7c normal. However he was admitted to hospital where the doctor advised me that his temperature was infact 37.8cSo i am not convinced that home use forehead thermometers are that accurate.
