Prefect! Sharper very well!

I got a BRAND new brow pencil, pictured, used it once and as it was vaguely less sharp afterwards I thought hey, let’s use my new sharpener on it to get it stiletto-sharp again…. BIIIIG MISTAKE! It reduced my brand new pencil to this totally unusable mess, that you can see hereI’m using the small side as it’s a narrow pencil, but the sharpener is totally mangling the pencil and if I keep going, the entire pencil will be lost.There are also zero instructions on how to open the totally unnecessary plastic outer, but I figured it out. I have tried to rescue the situation by emptying the sharpener and have poked out all the leftover shredded pencil end, staining my hands in the process.Now my brand new brow pencil is unusable and I’m terrified to put anything else in this, so both items will have to go in the bin.Like I said, this works like magic, if your idea of magic is making perfectly sharp pencils blunt, mangled and unusable. Ugh!

Why oh why have I been using a really shoddy sharpener for my eye and lip pencils for years? When you use something everyday let’s make it a pleasure eh? I think we can get into the habit of giving ourselves less than second best and we forget there are other options.This fab double ended sharpener from Barry M is cheap - great value for money - and extremely effective. I had so much fun going through my beauty pencils sharpening them to the finest point they had ever had that I wanted to sharpen them all over again.Buy this, it’s fab. You won’t regret it x

Very pleased with this little makeup pencil sharpener. It is small, sturdy and comes with a plastic cover to protect it in the makeup bag and to catch shavings. You can use it for eyebrow pencils and, with an easy adjustment, the larger lip liners. It comes with a little black tool to clean the blades afterwards. Very pleased.

OMG! This was a revelation. I have brought all of my old eyeliner pencils back to tip top shape in no time at all.Sharpens really cleanly and quickly and there is even a flippy thing inside that you can use to select whether you want a sharp or more rounded tip (I think shorter, more rounded tips work best particularly if, like me, you use eyeliner on the inside edge of your eyelid) - over sharp tips just break off anyway.It keeps all of the mess inside the case and includes a pokey thing to get the stubborn gunk off.Absolute bargain!

This is a really nice sharpener. You can vary the sharpness of your points by adjusting the centre lever, and it is big enough to fit the NYX Jumbo Pencils. It loses a star as I find it doesn't close particularly securely, but I have not experienced any shaving spilling out of it as a result of this. I would definitely buy another as it is as good as the Urban Decay Grindhouse in terms of performance, but the extra features make it a real winner.Update: It is now February 2019. Sharpener is still going strong but sadly I accidentally snapped off one of the pencil hole covers getting it caught in my drawer. Still one of the best I've ever used and I would repurchase it if ever I needed to!
