Both sodium chlorite and chlorine dioxide are the active ingredients in disinfectants and have additional industrial uses. They are not meant to be swallowed. Sodium Bicarbonate: commonly known as baking soda, is extremely harmful to dogs. It can cause digestive distress and/or death. Potassium Sorbate: a synthetic chemical preservative, shown to have very mild to life-threatening reactions. Sodium Benzoate: a synthetic chemical preservative, suspected to cause allergies, asthma and skin rashes. Tetrasodium EDTA: a synthetic chemical preservative, is made from ethylenediamine, formaldehyde, and sodium cyanide. Toxic gas and cancer causing substances are the main ingredients in this cocktail of death. Methyl Paraben: a synthetic chemical preservative, is linked to certain cancers, reproductive issues, and tumor growth.

Can it be used on puppies?

I have been using this product for my yorkies since they were 3 months old. They are healthy. Teeth white, breath fresh and no cavities according to the vet.

Why does the description for dental fresh explain how to bath a dog? I can only hope when my product arrives it is not shampoo for a feret.....

I'm not sure where you are reading this but my bottle of Dental Fresh says it is a water additive and nowhere on the bottle does it state how to bathe a dog. Make sure you are on the right product before ordering. And yes, we have been adding to our dog's drinking water for years & we swear bt it!

You add one teaspoon for every cup of water. If you put 4 cups of water in dogs bowl then it'll have 4 teaspoons of the additive.
