Brewcraft Bottling Replacement Spigot for Bucket or valve for BrewDemon kit...
This product works as described - but you do have to pay attention to the installationFollow these tips1. make sure it is for a one inch hole and then inspect hole for any burrs.2. inspect drain cock for any plastic flarings that might remain from factory and remove if necessary3. When you install - leave one washer on the threads and the other washer; place on the inside of bucket "pay attention to the washer"as it is supposed to lay flat against the bucket or other type of container - the washer has a taper to it and the taper should always point to the inside of the container or bucket etc.4. Next hand tighten the nut inside lightly, just enough to hold the spigot in place and then using a small crescent wrench upon the flat sides of the valve and your hand on the inside of the container "bucket etc." tighten the nut until you feel it make a clunk" then give a second clunk" you will feel it do this...this is not rocket science but does require some patience.5. Always before doing anything, like filling check for leaks - to do this, fill container just to point over the valve and let it set for a minute and observe for leaks. If you have any go back to step 4 : if the valve leaks after that it is defective or the hole through the container was greater than one inch or it has plastic burrs on the edge of the hole keeping the spigot valve from seating. Notes:* I used this valve to replace a broken one from a BrewDemon Brewing Kit.valve ..I broke the first one and it was not because of a defect; I just did just not know how to properly install it because I had grabbed by the spigot to tighten and I broke the valve off - so I learned by experience* Have fun AND learn to laugh at Life *

Works
This spigot works great for my DIY bottling bucket. I attached a 3/8" hose to the end and put a bottle filler on that. After a couple months I had to tighten the nut as it got a slow leak around the gasket, but it's probably from being moved around and I might have bumped it on something in the process.Works great for turning any food grade bucket into a bottling bucket.

Better than Mr. Beer
I bought this to replace the one I broke in the Mr. Beer kit. I had to file the spigot opening in the keg a little to get it to fit, but this is a much better built spigot than the stock Mr. Beer one. I highly recommend using this one to begin with.

Homebrew fermenter spigot
I am only giving this 3 stars because, although it worked, the tip broke off when I tried to position it. Now to be honest if I had lined it up better I wouldn't have had to try to re-position it but then it still would have broken since the tip would have protruded below the bottom of the bucket. I could probably have drilled the mounting hole a little higher but thie would not have lined up to drain the most wort out of the fermenter. Bottom line, it worked but the tip is a bit fragile.

good for what I wanted.
Worked great for my existing bucket. I can now place the spigot where I want it above the trub, and not worry about siphoning

Broke after only 3 brews of use
As a spigot this worked perfectly fine for a few months. In it's final gasp of service to me I recognized a leak on my bottling bucket and attempted to hand tighten the spigot thinking there might have been a bad seal. When I attempted that the threaded shank just snapped entirely (I was screwing it, not adding undue strain in any direction other than a clockwise twist). 5 gallons of sanitizer ended up on my floor and down the sink. I also got a nice cut on my finger from the sharp edges when it broke.when it was working, it was 5 star caliber. Unfortunately it failed in the worst possible way and led to a small injury, thus the deserved 1 star. See the picture I put up as proof
