KINDLE VERSION
Good selection of hikes--I am looking forward to getting back to Colorado and taking some or them.As a Kindle book, however, this book fails. There are virtually no hyperlinks. Table of Contents is not linked to pages. The only way to access the hikes is to 'hike' through the text page-by-page.Photos are beautiful, but maps are rather small, even on a Kindle Fire. The Kindle reader should be able to enlarge the maps.I am looking forward to the free upgrade to the revised edition.

Found my all time favorite hike in here
Found my all time favorite hike in here: the West Portal to Maroon Bells in Crested Butte. If Pamela says the wildflowers are spectacular, she is dead on; they are spectacular. If she does not write enthusiastically about a hike, I don't do the hike. She is rates hikes very accurately

More walks than hikes
This is an attractive book. The photos and flower information are a nice addition; however, only four or five of the hikes are over 5 miles. One is as short as .8 miles. I look forward to trying some of the longer ones, but overall most look like wildflower strolls.

Colorado Front Range Hikes
Of the 50 hikes in this book, only 6 or 7 are west of the divide, and those aren't far from the divide! Most of the hikes are in the Denver area, so I really think a better name for the book would have been Front Range Hikes. Many of the "Best" wildflower hikes of Colorado are located in the western part of the state. I would have been much happier with the book if it would have included hikes from the entire state.I was also very disappointed in the pictures. The majority of the pictures hardly have any flowers in them - certainly doesn't make me intrested in doing any of hikes for the sake of seeing what the pictures show!

Great book!
This new book is a great companion piece to the author's earlier books. The descriptions of the hikes and what one can see is excellent. Remember to go at peak time to see the flowers described. The directions and maps are easy to use and accurate. The pictures are great but this is not a wildflower identification book.
