I have issues with my tailbone and I bought this chair pad to replace a "donut style" foam chair pad that I have used for several years. Initially, I did not like this new chair pad because of the "bump" and upward slope of the back of the cushion which were uncomfortable against my tailbone. However, pairing this chair cushion with the Duro-Med Relax-a-Bac Lumbar Back Support Cushion Pillow, entirely solved the problem and I am now loving my new chair setup. With the back support cushion I am able to sit farther forward on the chair pad which puts me in the correct position. One thing I really love about this chair pad is the curvature in the front for your legs. I often cross my legs at the knee which is not really good for my posture and this chair pad is really helping me to stop doing that.

Disclaimer: I paid for this with my own money, and I'm still going to write an unbiased review.I didn't know what was causing my lower back and leg pains. In fact, it felt like it was actually originating outside my body, so I didn't know what type of cushion to even look for. I tried this CarerU because it's similar to one that worked for me years ago. Had it for four days now. Very, very happy that whenever I use it - in the car or at my desk - I don't have any pain at all. I'll be getting a second one so I can leave it in the car.

I had this sharp pain...it's all gone now, from the moment I started using this. Now I can't go back to the normal car seat. It does get you much higher, it doesn't flatten either, even on my 190lbs several hours a day, so it does require some seat adjustment, but once you feel it and use it you will need it. Perfect quality, it's been a few months and it is as good as new. It also does well in my bucket sears, not as wide as others, but great support.

My husband complained that his legs feels numb after a long drive (more than 4 hours). He found this item very helpful and it even reduce the strain on his back and upper thigh. I used it also and I found it somewhat helpful. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is a little big for me (I am small woman) and feel awkward. Maybe I need to be get used to it.

I am only 5'6" and 150 lbs with a 35" waist and this is TOO SMALL for me! The thigh channels are too small. The rear "horn" presses up into my tailbone, but when I try to adjust it by scooting forward the front hump crushes my "jewels". This seat is for children, or for old Chinese butts, but definitely NOT for any normal adult living in the US. I am NOT being racist or nationalistic in writing this. I am just very very very angry. I have heard to only believe negative Amazon reviews .... that the positive reviews are phony. Now I believe it!!!
