Does the bucket handle still operate?

Yes it works very well with the design of the lid. Helpful hint I found that if you cut thin foam sheets (like paper) an line the inside of the lid your tackle takes less of a beating.

It says a pack. Does that mean one?

Can it fit some larger items such as spool for leader line, pliers, fish grabber...? Looking for use pier fishing where need limited things, some big.

When you open either side there’s a lift out sectioned piece that you can store smaller things like 3 or 4 inch long lures and such. Under that is a larger storage half circle about 2” deep. Good for hook packs, thinner spool of leader line, needle nose, fish grabber etc. Not a huge amount of storage but adequate if you’re just carrying basics. Hope that helps.
