Will quinoa fall through or get stuck in the holes?

They get stuck in the holes. I had to pluck them out with a pin. I tried to used water pressure to push them through but they wouldn't budge.

I have washed 2 cups before, but I think you could probably wash 4 cups if you are careful. The holes are small enough to keep the grain in, and if you run the water fast, the water comes in faster than it drains out, so you can partially fill the bowl, which makes it better for rinsing. By changing the water flow rate, you can change the depth of water that builds up in the bowl. It works quite well this way.

You first put the rice in the bowl. You then hold the bowl under a cold water faucet. The bowl will begin filling faster then the water can drain through the holes. Mix the rice and water around with your fingers. Drqain bowl and starch is off the rice. Works great!
