Love this bag! **UPDATE- Bag has torn
I purchased this bag to take to Ireland. I used it out in the rain a couple of times and it sheds the water quite well. It's not completely water repellent but it does dry very quickly. I liked the top pocket for keeping items handy. I used a caribenner to secure the zippers together making it more difficult for a thief to open the bag without me knowing. It folds up into the pocket quite nicely. The only thing I would change is the straps. They didn't feel very sturdy when I had a heavier load.UPDATE: I recently used this bag again for a trip to Disney. I only carried a rain poncho, an oversized scarf, my wallet and water bottle. The total weight was 10 pounds or less. Unfortunately, the bag ripped at the seam and now I can’t use it unless I can find someone with a sewing machine to repair it. This is a real disappointment, because otherwise it’s a great bag.

Top pocket flops over
I really wanted to like this pack because of High Sierra’s quality products - and I love the color (teal). For me, I did not like the fit. The zip pocket at the top makes it too heavy and it tends to flop over. I returned it. Also - the description says it has a drawstring closure but it does not. Otherwise - I like the size, weight, love the color.

Very good value for this quality bag.
I bought this sack for travel and biking. It folds up neatly into its own pouch so very easy to take along. Although the material is very thin, it is sturdy and holds quite a bit including a bottle of water. It is not overly heavy on the shoulders when packed with gear inside. A fair price and delivered quickly. I would buy it again.

Solid pack but design could be better.
Bag is well constructed (except for shoulder straps). I wish the top pocket was larger, however. It will not hold a large (female) zipper wallet. I also wish there was one other interior pocket to either put in a water bag (there is a hole for the tube, but only a hook to latch a water bladder onto) or to use for other larger items that dont fit into the top pocket. Love the side pouches that can hold other items along with water bottle, but they are not tight so can fall out. Zippers are smooth, it's just a little awkward if you have a mostly empty inside and your top pocket is full (i.e. small wallet, cell phone). As a day pack, I felt it a bit disappointing. The 2 shoulder straps are not very robust and it felt awkward caring the pack given how the bag is shaped and how the weight is distributed once on your back (I am female, 150lb, 5ft 7). I wish I could describe it better but the bag is annoying to wear for more than 15 min. I found myself holding it by the small top semi-circle handle but even that was awkward. I am bummed, I wanted to like this but I would not recommend and likely wont use it much at all now that my trip is over. I am ordering a different bag, hoping it fixes these issues.

Hydration pack friendly!
This is a great bag for outdoor adventures due to the hydration pack hook and hole for the hose. I brought this bag on a recent backpacking trip to use for day hikes while my heavy pack stayed at camp. It was perfect!I was planning to use REI's packable daypack but decided on this one instead because of the ability to handle a hydration pack. REI's bag sits a little more comfortably but this one isn't bad. My only issue was that the straps dug into my shoulders a little, but I tied the ends of the straps together as a makeshift chest strap, and it was fine.

Beautiful but not terribly functional or durable.
I use this primarily for some day trips. I’ve used it a total of 10-15 times and I noted it is starting to tear near the shoulder strap. It is very beautiful though and perhaps better suited for only very light objects. As far as functionality there is a small pocket in the “cap” of the backpack and then one large compartment. Finally, aluminum water bottles tend to slide right out the mesh pockets on the sides.

Perfect gym bag
Perfect gym bag! Fits in the small lockers even when full. It hold quite a bit of items. I also love the color.

Terrible product.
I do not recommend this backpack. The fabric tore away from the zipper the first time I used it - rendering it useless.
