Works as intended but mounting on an actual door will be tricky.
This product requires the a door frame surface 15-20mm wide in order to be able to mount it as intended. There was only 5mm on every door in our house. We had to modify my daughters bedroom door in order to use it. It's now working as intended but is mounted upside down as she wanted it inside her room and the door opens right to left. Not a great experience. There should be a left-hand or right-hand device and it should be redesigned so that it can be mounted on a door without having to modify the door frame.

As annoying as I find this, it was a great buy. My son loves setting it when he goes out and feels his room is protected from his sister.
