Easy to use and sturdy
These ice cleats worked well for a vacation to Alaska in the winter. They packed easily into our backpack and were popped on & removed easily when they were needed on the icy slushy covered roads and walking paths. These ice cleats gave me good confidence when I was navigating slushy ice covered surfaces so that I felt more short-footed and safe.

Worth Their Weight In Gold
We've had storm after storm in the past weeks, including a lot of freezing rain and ice, and I've had LOTS of chances to give these a workout.I can safely say that these are far superior to the YakTrax (and I've worn YakTrax for years). The STABILicers are extremely sturdily built with very thick, tough rubber, and the cleats are molded out of thick heavy duty metal plates that are embedded into the rubber soles. No popped cleats on these bad boys!I have walked extensively on ice, snow, macadam, wood, and concrete wearing these during the past several weeks and there is zero sign of wear on the cleat tips.I wouldn't recommend doing too much walking around indoors with these on.Outdoors, however, is a different story. These things are AMAZING! I can walk from my house to my parents' house on a solid sheet of glass-like black ice and not even know it. I don't have to alter my walk or speed in any way. With my YakTrax, I always felt like I had to "make fists with my toes" inside my shoes and walk more slowly to be sure the coiled wire was biting into the ice. With the STABILicers, I just walk completely normally and at full speed. I have purposely tried to slip and slide on various patches of ice and cannot even make them budge. These things really dig in and stabilize your stance. I think part of it is due to the fact that the rows of cleats point in various directions. They do a fabulous job on snow, too, and I've done a heap of shoveling lately and have given them quite a workout. The same is true when I walk on my wooden ramp and deck. Just like bridges, it "freezes before road surface," and is always the first thing to freeze up, the last thing to unfreeze, and is wicked slick. No problemo. Can't even force a slip or slide. These do leave small pinpoint cleat impressions in the wood, however.I've walked up to the front of our development to get mail and then back again in these quite a few times now, which is about a quarter mile walk, most of the trip being on non-icy macadam after the plow guys have been through the neighborhood, and no sign of wear or tear on the cleats. The walk, though a bit awkward on cleats, is easy enough to do, and no problems with balance. These come in a few colors -- mine are blue so they'll be easy to find in snow if I walk out of them. However, I've had no issues in that regard. They fit snug and have shown no sign of being loose or coming off.Size-wise I would suggest that you get larger than you need in order to give some leeway to fit over your shoes or boots. I have small feet (8.5) and purchased size large and they fit over top of my old beat-up pair of Kuru shoes perfectly. I use that pair for outdoor work exclusively and so I just leave the STABILicers on the shoes all winter, but they're easy to get on and off, and stay put nicely. If you live in snowy/icy environs, which includes just about everybody lately, these things are worth their weight in gold. They make walking on snow and ice a non-issue.Recommended!

Traction great, run small
Review for:Stabilicers4.4 out of 5 stars 1,747 ReviewsSTABILicers Walk Stabilicers Ice Traction Cleat for Snow and Ice - Lite Duty Serious Traction cleats for Boots and Shoe Ice CleatsUPDATE: I re-ordered a size x-large, i dont know if it's becsuse of the size or just an updated version but there are several improvements compared to the size large I originally had. On each side of the cleat packs there are now rubber lugs which make them more stable, the rear straps are now connected together and have a flap to pull on, the toe is more full and goes further on the boot, the rear cleat pack is further back and centered on the heel. This moved from 2stars to 5 stars based on what I expected for the price. You may do better with more expensive models for running etc.Summary: traction is excellent! Fit is (was)bad for me but may be different depending on your size of shoe. Read on for more.First the good: these stabilicers will not slip on the ice, traction is excellent! I can full out sprint on the ice no problem. Now the bad: the fit is pretty bad for my situation. I am size 12 and i ordered size large which is supposed to fit up to size 13.I understand that you want a tight fit so it will not come off, but the rear set of spikes is to far forward, it works well enough on my tennis shoes but you can feel that the rear cleats should be further back. On my work boots its much worse since the set of spikes are so far forward, they are half on and half off of the heel of the boot and rock forward when I step on it. This makes these useless for my boots...also the front and rear spiki assembly should be wider, this would make them more comfortable and more stable. My dilemma is, should I trade them for a larger size? I don't know if the x-large will place the heel further back or just have longer rubber straps? Also will they fit a size 12 tight enough? If I trade them out, I will update this review.

Work great, but check the size
These work much better than a pair I had bought from a different vendor, they offer great traction and don't fall off like the other vendors product did.Be careful of the size, we initially bought one pair to see if they were any good and bought size medium which according to the size chart should have been good for both my wife and myself (I have size 10 feet). They fit my wife perfectly but were too small for me. We then ordered a large set which was fine.We have used them probably 15 or more times so far this winter on hikes, so far very pleased.

Tenuta perfetta anche su ghiaccio liscio.
Ramponcino molto efficace. Pratico, leggero, robusto. Per la praticità è meglio prenderli un po’ più grandi del numero di scarpa Rapporto qualità prezzo molto elevato.
