Feature-filled, great ANC and perfect sound!
I've bought myself so many cheap wired Bluetooth headsets over the years. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile, I just really enjoy music while travelling. Unfortunately, the wired cables over time would either break or become loose, rendering themselves useless.Anyways, I decided to do some extensive research into wireless earbuds. I eventually heard about the Tozo NC9's. I never heard of the brand before so I decided to take a gamble and buy them. It's safe to say I am extremely happy with my choice and purchase.Let's start off with noise cancelling, since a lot of people get excited when they hear this term. With the NC9's, it works surprisingly well. It's not revolutionary, but for the price it's awesome. Going outside on walks, I can hear background noise from birds and the nearby motorway with ANC off. However, with ANC turned on, pure silence. With music playing as well, you're set for listening with minimal distractions. Every sound either gets muted or reduced. A separate mode called transparency mode uses a mic to enhance the sound around you and it works brilliantly. Extremely useful for conversations or announcements or checking for cars when crossing the road! Brilliant stuff and can't fault it.Next, the sound. These are ruddy great. The soundstage and dynamics of instruments are super clear and well pronounced. In fact, I am currently enjoying listening to songs again, as I've noticed instrument's I never heard before I got the NC9's. The bass is also brilliant, not too strong and too weak, just right. However you can adjust as you wish using the phone's equaliser. Overall, the sound is top notch, you can't go wrong here. The fit is snug and very sturdy. I can do a workout and go running and I have no worries about these earbuds falling out. Plus they don't stick out of my ears. However, everyone's ears are shaped differently. To counteract this, Tozo have kindly provided 6 pairs of extra quality earbuds to try. I'd recommend trying each pair to see which fits you the best.I was initially worried about the touch functionality, as other brands I've tried can never seem to get this right. After testing, I can confidently say that the touch functions are easy to use and frustration-free. Not once have I accidentally pressed the wrong button or tapped too many times. Outstanding work here.Connectivity is easy to set up and stays strong. I've had no disconnections or interruptions at all in the two weeks of testing. They are fast to connect as well when you take them out of their charging case. They disconnect when out of range, which is about 10-15 metres as advertised. There are no latency or lag problems. No issues here whatsoever.Battery life seems to live up to the 8 hour mark as advertised. With ANC or transparency mode on, it is reduced to 6 hours. However, I've never had a problem with the minimum of 6 hours, especially when the charging case provides an extra 18 hour charge. The case itself is very nice. Small enough to fit in your pocket. The case is magnetised and it shows lights to determine how much charge is left in the case. Very handy to carry around with me when travelling. The NC9's are often highly regarded as Tozo's defining product, and I can see why. They are outstanding for the price, filled with extremely useful and convenient features. At the time of writing this, I am genuinely struggling to find any negatives about the NC9's. The only one would be that a clearer battery level for both the earbuds and the charging case would be nice, but I digress. In short, feature-filled, great ANC and perfect sound! Thank you for reading this review. I hope it helped!

Budget ANC Earphones
I received these to demo and give my opinion. I always give an honest appraisal. These earbuds from Tozo are one of the many Chinese brands vying for our tech bucks. I use their excellent iPhone glass screen protectors and their rapid power banks. The buds arrived in a neat box with instructions, a short USB-C charger cable, a selection of silicone-like ear tips and the buds plus their charging case. I placed the buds into the case and could see they needed a charge and left them for a while before giving them a try. I connected to my iPhone XS Max and listened to a few tracks via Spotify on very high quality which is my default.First impressions are good. Thereās a balanced sound however with some beefy, chunky bass bias. It is not at the expense of the rest of the mix. The mids and highs are still discernible. I wanted to let these warm up a bit so left them running for a good hour or so before doing any comparisons. The soundI was worried that the bass would get tiresome after prolonged use but this isnāt the case. Itās really rather good. If you like bass then you will love these earbuds. The soundstage isnāt a wide as my Cambridge Audio Melomania 1s but the sound quality is quite close. In comparison to my B&W P7 Wireless headphone, it the same story! Not quite as good but not hell a of a lot in it.I tried the NC9s with my Fiio M7 to sample some Hi-Res tunes. They connected fine without the aPTX logo (as expected) and they are again very good and clear. My one main criticism is they donāt go particularly loud on my iPhone. They do need to be driven to be heard better. That maybe my old DJ ears that have been used and abused back in the day but I donāt have the same issue with my other ear/headphones. Playback on the Fiio M7 was better on the HD tracks. Freya Ridingās Lost Without You is utterly beautiful and Ultra Nate Free (Full Intention Club Mix) that has a massive bass detail is the best I've heard it in a long time! Two very different tracks to showcase the great sound from the earphones.I am unconvinced about the ANC on any in ear type of headphone. They isolate external noise by sticking a rubber tip into you auditory meatus and therefore block the sound out pretty well anyway! There are two modes to the ANC; full ANC and transparent mode. You tap the left bud to toggle between the two modes. Thereās a voice prompt to tell you which mode has been selected but it doesnāt drop the audio input to hear it clearly. I cannot detect a massive difference between them and found it all a bit of a gimmick.Build quality and other stuffYup, they seem well built and comfortable to wear over long periods. I wore them as they came out of the box with no discernible fatigue from the sound or fit. I tried a couple of other tips but went back to the original ones it shipped with. I thought the earbuds looked too big and bulky from the pictures but they are fine. There are a selection of touch controls and they kinda work. I am still getting used to them but they seem fine.I've had no connection issues or dropouts so they seem to have decent components. In conclusion, these are an excellent budget priced set of earphones that give great sound. Highly recommended.
