Been installed since 2018 and still going strong!!!!
Really impressed!! I purchased in 2018 and have 2 units on the side of my house 2 in trees on my property. I live in New England so they get punished as far as elements go. Had 1 camera die but got a new one and has been working fine for 4 years. I monitor them remotely with an old tablet with the simpliview app. It's been on my desk for years essentially untouched .. power outage no problem it just restarts after power comes back and starts working. I don't use any of the alert of notifications so I don't know about that. But.tjis system has been bullet proof for a long time. Money well spent too bad it looks like they're gone. Or not available any more.

I bought this cause the reviews were excellent.. I wasn't disappointed
Just received unit well packed..I bought this cause the reviews were excellent.. I wasn't disappointed. I started installing the wires 2 days ago Hooking up DVR is step by step as well as setting up your cell phone. The cell phone video feed will help you fine tune your cameras into perfect position as you see your adjustment in real time on your phone. Pretty handy. I adjusted my cameras as not to see traffic going by cause the motion detecting buzzer I turned on in the DVR menu will go off on every passing car. I don't have any animals around to set a camera off except for an occasional stray cat out for a midnight stroll. The eight cameras were perfect to catch all sides of the house. Leaving nothing exposed. The DVR has room for 16 cameras so I may get 1 or 2 more for inside the house. It comes with 8---60' cables but I bought 2---100 footers and I am glad I did in order to do far corners away from DVR unit. I ran wires through attic and out by the vinyl siding top edge J-Channel. Stuffed wires along the house between J-channel and vinyl siding covering bottom of the eves. Some spots I lifted out a 2ft spot on the vinyl siding with a molding lifter and stuffed some wires underneath the siding and used a utility knife to cut out a notch for the exiting wire lead and then just smack the vinyl siding with your hand to click it back in place. (Be careful on cold days as not to crack the vinyl siding)

Exceeded Expectations
Overall we are pleased with this unit. It is quiet and functional. The HDD is a little undersized if you are running all the channels at once. The GUI takes a little getting used to and the included instructions aren't exactly clear but the author of the manual may have a bit of a language barrier. The included cameras are good quality for a 720 camera. The only major quirk that we found in this product is that the DVR reads the cameras in banks. 01-04, 05-08, 09-12 and 13-16. We are running 8 720 cameras and 8 960 cameras - each resolution must be banked with cameras that match their resolution or drop the whole thing to D1 quality video.Overall this is a good unit, especially for the money. Would definitely recommend!

It helps keep my property secure and my renters safe and they love the added security
I’m only at my vacation home a few times in the year and sometimes rent it out, and I wanted to make sure I could see everything going on when I’m not there. It helps keep my property secure and my renters safe and they love the added security. The 2 megapixel resolution is really nice and helps me see everything clearly, I don’t have to worry about missing anything because it’s too blurry. I have one of them pointed down a driveway and when cars park up by the door I can clearly read the license plate which is always good to have just in case. When I had time to go there and set it up, I had a few technical questions I couldn’t figure out from the manual so I contacted the seller and immediately got connected with their tech support, who were very helpful and made sure the system would work away from the location. Now I can view it on my phone hundreds of miles away without a problem. I love it!

Tech support is NON EXISTENT!!! Lifetime tech support HAHAHAHA!!!!!
I purchased this product and it has worked great for the last 4 1/2 years, and still does, EXCEPT for some reason the password is not working. Good luck trying to reach someone to assist. Plus the DVR has no option for factory reset to be able to get it working again. What good is a video surveillance system if you can not access the recorded footage. Called the phone number for tech support that was on paperwork, they claimed this wasn't their product. Then emailed [email protected], which was the email listed right under the phone number I called and got the response this is not our equipment and the email you are providing is not associated with us, only to get a reply from the company that answered the phone. Then after they asked a few simple question the only answer they could give me is, sorry we are unable to reset the password on this DVR, you will have to buy a new one. Lifetime technical support huh, what a JOKE!!! Do not recommend buying any products from this company.

Nice system
Awesome system for my business. Got 2 for both of my locations. I only wish it was compatible with some sort of cloud recording service so I could have my video feed(s) saved off-site. The image is super sharp and the cameras are crystal clear. Once I configured my router and opened the proper ports, the iPhone app works great and it's great to see my cameras while driving on the freeway. Streams fast over my t-Mobile LTE. For PC, you must use Internet Explorer. Firefox & Chrome does not work with the software. Thankfully we are Mac users so the SmartPSS software for Mac works great! I did not use the included 60' BNC/power cables. instead I ran Cat6 ethernet and used baluns to connect. That way if I ever want to add IP cameras in the future I can, since this system works with IP cameras too... yes, it's a Hybrid.
