Glorious to look at with some longueurs
Not the most sparkling of the Tintin books, but I bought it to keep up with a grandson aged 6 who insisted on reading me the entire book over Skype. He finds it hilarious - obviously appeals to that age group. As always Hergé’s drawings are spellbinding and this story affords him scope to draw ships, which seem to be a specialty of his.

Tintin The Secret of the Unicorn (inFrench)
I bought this to help my daughter improve her reading in French, and this has proved to be a very entertaining way to do it. We were both very impressed be the very high standard of the story-telling and of the illustrations. The story is both exiting and at times funny. We plan to read more of these!

Lacking quality control
I'm a big fan of Tintin and was looking forward to re-reading this in its original language, unfortunately it soon came to my attention there is a large crack along the spine which makes me worry about the cover peeling off. I wish I could have given this 5 stars but there seems to be an issue with quality control that I feel the need to point out.
