Large 18" x 24" splatter targets are twice the size of many other silhouette splatter targets. Blue target area makes seeing your sights against the target easier. Bright florescent splatters easily show you where you hit, so you can spend more time shooting and less time checking your target. The florescent splatters work great even in less than perfect lighting conditions. Don't forget you can use Big Dawg adhesive targets as cover-ups to extend target life. Made of heavy duty non-adhesive tag board these targets are good for plinking in the backyard or a day at the range.

I absolutely recommend the Big Dawg targets
I absolutely recommend the Big Dawg targets. The 18 x 24 inch targets are $1.60 a piece and the 12 x 18's are a bit less expensive at $1.25 a piece. Either one is cheap - they cost a few 45 ACP rounds a piece. So ten targets costs less than 30 cheap rounds, or less than 15-20 full SD rounds. I never understand why people tape up paper plates over and over again, and keep shooting at the taped up paper plates. I can see using tape on large store bought paper targets. But with the cost of ammo, it's hard for me to justify using anything other than these expensive targets - they are that much better than store bought paper targets IMHO. I would I rather shoot empty beer cans, steel plates, or watermelon's on an outdoor range for sure.Forget about using pencil to label these targets, and the ink smudges when using felt tip pens, heck, it's hard to see the ink when using a ball point pen on these. I use a mid to large sharpie which works great, and no smudging. These are heavy and almost twice as thick as the smaller sizes - the 18 x 24 targets need a few more staples or extra tape to properly affix them to the target carrier. The box they come in is much larger. I keep them in the amazon box and bring the whole box to the range. This makes it a snap to save old targets, I just put the used target back into the box so I can look and label them when I get home. You can only hang one on a normal sized target carrier as opposed to two of the smaller targets. There is no difference in the spatter when a round hits - it's not like a round leaves a smaller hole on the thicker targets. That said, the thicker material on this size does not rip or merge when two rounds hit in almost the same spot. Not saying the smaller sized rip or have issues with bullet holes merging. But the thicker target is just a bit better in this regard compared to the smaller ones. This alone is the biggest functional difference between this and the smaller sizes in my opinion.

Great value
These targets do indeed help with identifying your shots at distance, even out to 25 yards (assuming your eyesight is sufficient). The yellow on blue when the round hits provide a nice contrast that is easy to distinguish. It is also very durable, like thick semi-laminated poster-board, which is good when you have it posted flat, but it can backfire a bit if you roll it up to transport to the range and then try to mount it (use strong tape, glue, or staples on the sides and bottom as well if you do this). Good thing though is that it ships flat so no worries on unrolling it into shape. The size is sufficient, but I do wish they would offer this in an XL/Jumbo size (i.e. standard B-27 measurements)....it's a bit small for shooting 25 yards and out, but still doable. Perfect for 15 yards and in though. I definitely think it's worth the money, especially if your on a fixed range where you have to wait for an all clear to retrieve your target or even if your indoors and on the clock (i.e. hourly fees) and want to quickly check your shots without recalling your target. I'll definitely be buying more when I run out.

These are great targets. They are life sized large and they ...
These are great targets. They are life sized large and they are printed on heavy stock so they don't curl like some other easy view target do. They also resist scuffing fairly well.At the range it is extremely easy to see where your shots are impacting the target. I have attached two pictures showing the same target in position at the far end of the range and then a close up of the same target after I brought it forward. for this session I was shooting a Beretta CX4 9mm carbine with nothing but open sites. All shots were made off hand using plain FMJ 115grain off the shelf ammunition. Despite only moderate lighting I could clearly see where the shots were impacting the target. You cannot go wrong with this target. I will buy more of them when my current pack gets low.

Big Dawg are Indeed The Top Dog!
Earlier this year (around May), I obtained my license to carry handgun permit. And among the items I purchased for my shooting practice at the indoor pistol range were paper targets which I bought from several different retailers. It didn't take me long to realize that the Big Dawg silhouette targets are the best hands down! The other paper targets I purchased in many cases were so thin I had to be pretty careful with them for fear that they would tear while handling them. But the Big Dawg targets I found out are much more thicker, resilient, and sturdier than most of the other paper targets that are produced by companies that make such products.

I'm never purchasing plain targets, again
Compared to non-splatter targets...These. Are. Awesome. When my wife and I go to the range, we can each fire a magazine's worth of rounds, twice, at this target and not use the same area twice. Plus, you can see where the bullets hit before bringing the target back.I bought some target cover-ups, and I'll use them sometimes, but honestly, unless your groups are very closely grouped, it's more trouble than it's worth.

Great targets!
As much as I would love to use steel plates, I'm stuck practicing at an indoor range. These give you awesome feedback so at +15 yards, you can see what the hell you shot! Seeing what you're shooting at as basic as it gets. Seeing what you shot is up there when you're trying to improve. With ammo prices the way they are these days, you need to squeeze all the improvement you can out of every round!

great visibility as well
Large, thick paper plastic targets, great visibility as well. I have used these out to 300 yards and had no trouble seeing holes from 308 (have a good scope but still great targets). Shot 22lr at 100 yards and all holes visible as well. Would definitely reccommend and will buy again.

Very thick...
A very nice size target for the range. Very easy to see/hit the various bullseyes on the target at 20 or 30 yards. Very easy to see where you are hitting it. I especially like that feature. The only down side is related to how thick it is. I get it, it is supposed to be thick, but rolling up two or three targets to take to the range is very difficult to do.
