I’m a huge fan of this illustrator and this sweet, home birthing story is just beautiful. It reminds me so much of the birth of our daughter and she already loves to look at the images!

Absolutely lovely book for sharing with small children what to expect in a homebirth. Unfortunately I didn't end up having the homebirth I planned but this book is so wonderful, I have gifted it to my midwife to share with her other homebirth families.

I’ve been reading to my 4 year old to explain what’s going to likely happen when I go into labor. the book explains normal blood loss, placentas (which he asked if he could touch lol) and much more! Absolutely age appropriate!

I have a 4 year old and a 20 month old. The four year old loved this book (and I definitely had to pause because I teared up a few times ha). 20 month old doesn’t quite understand- but that’s developmentally normal. My onnnne complaint was the use of the word boobies instead of breasts. I thought that was a bit immature so I change it when I read it. Overall, it’s a great and informative book for young minds, And a beautiful read for parents too
