Worked perfectly

Works great for cooling wort from boiling temp to yeast pitching temperatures quickly. You can adjust the water flow and/or the speed at which you are draining your wort to get temps in the low 60s or high 50s. I've used this twice and got 62 F from boiling temp. I could have gotten even lower by slowing down the drain speed of the wort but did not need to since it was cold enough already for my ale. Highly recommend this unit, I cooled 10 gallons of wort to 62 degrees and straight into my primary in 5-6 minutes. It does not get any faster than that, especially for a gravity fed system.

This thing rocks. I had a counterfow chiller for 5 years. I replaced it with this and it is night and day. I circulate back into to the brew kettle to chill before I go to the fermentor. [Aerate]. In less than 5 minutes from boiling to 70 degrees. It was cold coming out from the start so I probably could have gone straight to the fermentor.

saves at least an hour off a 5 hour brewing day. I'm using gravity flow but plan to purchase a pump to increase performance. I priced a numbedr of competitors and this was by far the best value.

I have been using an immersion chiller for several years now. I used this for the first time and will not switch back. It took the wort from boiling to 70 degrees in about 10 minutes for a 10 gallon batch, which is about 1/4 of the time I experience with an immersion chiller. I did not use a pump, but simply siphoned through and into the fermenter. Next time I will have use my pump, but did not have all the fittings needed to connect both.I put quick disconnects for the hose adapters and use camlocks for the wort ends. When I was done I ran 200 degree water through the wort side till it ran clear then starsan through to get it clean. I used my air compressor on the water side to remove as much leftover water as I could before air drying.No issues with the standard hose ends or 1/2 in male NPT connectors.

Gravity fed 10 gallons through the chiller into my fermentor in less than 10 minutes @ 66F.Cut 30-45 minutes off my brew day. What a great purchase. I'm not sure why anyone would go with the more expensive Big Name version of this. I only had my water cranked on about 2/3.

Great chiller at a great price! It chills my wort in record time and makes for a much quicker brew day.
